there is always enough water left for one good shake

DeanT - Posted - 01/22/2013:  11:08:12

That's why dog baths at our house are outside with a garden hose...

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  11:08:25

Yep, tell me about it... I don't think I'll ever understand where it all comes from LOL

OM45GE - Posted - 01/22/2013:  11:48:21

I have a nice walk-in shower that Toby gets bathed in. He still doesn't like it much.

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  11:57:39

Quick side note, has anyone heard details on the Texas campus shooting that took place this morning?

dat - Posted - 01/22/2013:  13:22:38

I haven't heard anything about it

Caught a glimpse of the news...........not good

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:14:40

And then the little "ahem" that murdered his entire family in New Mexico! Shot his little brother and two little sisters after killing his mom and then shot up his dad!

mbanjo - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:17:15

Haven't seen that one yet........how long ago?

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:18:49

Sunday morning. Killed both his parents, his 9yr old brother, and his 5yr old and 2yr old sisters

There are some sick people around........

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:29:44

Yep... and I honestly agree that violent videogames are desensitizing kids. If they would go outside and get off their lazy butts, the world would be a better place!

dat - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:41:27

I'm glad to hear a 21 year old say that, I thought I was just old and cranky thinking that

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:48:50

Trust me, I hate those video games. Any game that has better, more realistic graphics than my TV is probably pure crap. Games for the Nintendo, however, are actual GAMES. There is no reason why a child needs to see a body spurting blood when it is "killed" in a game. Make it vanish into blue smoke or something unrealistic like that. Or better yet, be a parent and send your child outside to play with the neighbor kids at the park. It will make the world a better place.

So no, you aren't just being old and cranky. Spoiled brats who didn't like the rules in their lives grew up to have children that they don't raise because they want to be "friends". Spankings also need to be brought back in schools. Teachers literally have no authority any more and parents still expect them to raise their students. It is just straight stupidity...

Pardon my rant.......

mbanjo - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:53:40

Alaina has spoken.............applause.......:-)

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  14:54:53

Thank you, thank you

mbanjo - Posted - 01/22/2013:  15:42:34

You would make an excellent president.............if I was an american I would vote for you:-) :-) :-)

Alaina - Posted - 01/22/2013:  15:44:42

I don't want to be president. But I can't discuss why here because that would be politics and then I'd get in trouble lol

DeanT - Posted - 01/22/2013:  16:43:25

No one ever checks this thread, so you can say anything you want.

OM45GE - Posted - 01/23/2013:  02:19:10

We just have to wait a few years until she reaches the minimum age to run for president.

ErikH - Posted - 01/23/2013:  02:28:32

I think 35 is still too young to be president.

OM45GE - Posted - 01/23/2013:  02:32:42

I certainly wouldn't have been ready at that age. But then again, I wouldn't want to be president under any circumstances.

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  05:53:25

anybody that wants it, shouldn't be there

OM45GE - Posted - 01/23/2013:  06:01:21

I know. It is not my idea of a good way to earn a living. They always look a lot older than the four or eight years they spend there can account for.

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  06:10:06

and even after you aren't the pres anymore, you can't just get out and go somewhere on a camping or fishing trip without having a whole crown around, I kinda like a little privacy when me and my bride get out and go camping, it's good to get away

OM45GE - Posted - 01/23/2013:  06:22:14

I know - I was thinking the same thing. You've got crazies who want to kill you, you get held responsible and blamed for things when your real power is far less than most people think and some of the things you do have responsibility for would really suck if you ever had to actually do them (nukes come to mind). I'm happy just being me.

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  07:03:31

and going down the the store to get a loaf of bread you'll have to get somebody else to do it of have a swarm of secret service folks all around

DeanT - Posted - 01/23/2013:  07:27:15

I would hate the speech part. I don't like taking in front of a bunch of people. Or smiling when I don't feel like it. I'm not a good faker

That's no lie. He's like the king of faking it and blaming someone else.

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  09:34:43

I'm still amazed he made it back in, I never would have guessed it

Alaina - Posted - 01/23/2013:  09:37:51

Tell me about it... But I guess if you sign enough welfare checks, those people would want you to stick around so they can keep getting handouts...

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  10:08:39

and free cell phones

Alaina - Posted - 01/23/2013:  10:12:09

HA! Forgot about that one!

DeanT - Posted - 01/23/2013:  10:16:39

See I told you can talk about polidicks on this thread and no one would ever even know it

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  10:31:36

unless you're 'Niffer, then as she says something a little off color, she gets her knuckles popped with a ruler.   bad timing

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  10:38:00

chaps me when you go to the grocery store and folks are buying racks of ribs, tenderloin steaks, rib eyes, porterhouse steaks, all kinds of groceries that I can't afford, then they pull out their lonestar card  (Texas welfare/ foodstamp card)  and I'm trying to figure out if I can afford the ground chuck or ground round.   then they pull out cash to buy their beer and cigarettes and drive off in a cadillac escalade

DeanT - Posted - 01/23/2013:  11:31:05

while talking on their 5G Iphone and pull up to a run down shack with furniture in the front yard, and the biggest flat screen TV in the neighborhood in their living room.

drug test before they add any amount to their card,   have some kind of work program, we give you this ( what ever amount they get)  but we expect you to go to work for the state ( how many hours per month) in exchange

mbanjo - Posted - 01/23/2013:  15:25:58

I believe that most young people have a genuine desire to find and maintain a decent job to support themselves and their famillies...................but in my opinion governments around the world are not addressing the problem adequately

dat - Posted - 01/23/2013:  15:30:33

most do,  a lot have learned how to play the system though, and someone who actually needs the help, I'm all for the government helping them, help them get an education, help them find a job, help them with food 'till they get back on their feet.     then set back and watch them smile when they realize that they can support their family on their own without any more government help
