without getting political or anything, he probably isn't near as crooked as anybody running, on any part of the whole mess

OM45GE - Posted - 05/18/2016:  08:11:25

The big difference that I see is that Harvey didn't pretend not to be a crook.

I used to go hunting with a guy that was a car salesman, he was known for being a typical used car guy. I never dealt with him in business and he knew I wouldn't, but we were good friends and gave each other a hard time.   he was as sorry as could be, but he was a good guy if you knew it going in.     I told him that I couldn't recommend him to anybody for a car,  he said he didn't blame me one bit

DeanT - Posted - 05/18/2016:  14:09:29

I like the way used car lots use colored wax to hide scratches

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/18/2016:  18:58:25

Reminds me of Herb Tarlock from WKRP

OM45GE - Posted - 05/19/2016:  02:59:06

How so?

DeanT - Posted - 05/19/2016:  05:48:58

I just remember Lonnie Anderson

dat - Posted - 05/19/2016:  05:55:44

Bailey Quarters always caught my eye

OM45GE - Posted - 05/19/2016:  10:03:19

Bailey was a cutie for sure.

DeanT - Posted - 05/19/2016:  17:06:46

I liked Mindy from Mork and Mindy

OM45GE - Posted - 05/20/2016:  03:42:54

Another very attractive woman.

dat - Posted - 05/20/2016:  08:41:01

speaking of Classy Women, Where did 'Niffer run off to again?

OM45GE - Posted - 05/20/2016:  10:50:59

That was a brief visit for sure.

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/20/2016:  10:53:01

She likes her horses and dogs better than us?

OM45GE - Posted - 05/20/2016:  10:59:23

Like Daniel said, she's a classy woman.

I can't post on BHO from my tablet at home.  And I'm often too busy at work to check in.  :(

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 05/20/2016:  12:55:21

And I think the adjective usually used to describe me is "weird" not "classy"

dat - Posted - 05/21/2016:  06:57:29

classy in a weird kinda way, or weird in a classy kind of way, either way ain't that bad

DeanT - Posted - 05/21/2016:  08:59:57

This weird world needs some class

OM45GE - Posted - 05/21/2016:  17:24:08

How about "exotic" instead of weird?

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/21/2016:  18:14:24

I like people who dance to the beat of a different drum

DeanT - Posted - 05/21/2016:  19:20:10

I learned to play guitar and banjo, and joined the band, so i wouldn't have to dance

dmiller - Posted - 05/22/2016:  00:11:17

The dance floor is "enemy territory" for me.  The stage feels like home.

DeanT - Posted - 05/22/2016:  06:08:54

I had more fun dancing with my guitar than a future x wife

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/22/2016:  13:54:18

My ex used to say I loved the banjo more than her

DeanT - Posted - 05/22/2016:  16:48:06

My ex pawned my Les Paul and amp and blew the money before I got home from work.

OM45GE - Posted - 05/23/2016:  03:07:59

Did she think wouldn't notice?

DeanT - Posted - 05/23/2016:  05:30:13

To this day, I still don't know what she thought, or what possessed her to do it. I haden't been playing for several months, and it was really busy at work (during Desert Shield). It was the beginning of the end... maybe that's what she was trying to do

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/23/2016:  08:12:59

I had a couple of those "beginning-of-the-end"'s

dat - Posted - 05/23/2016:  08:21:42

During Desert Shield, my brother was at Ramstien air base in Germany,   I was riding the back roads here

dmiller - Posted - 05/23/2016:  10:51:22

During Desert Shield, I was just getting my house back from the divorce a coupla years earlier.

It was good to be "home again"  cool

DeanT - Posted - 05/23/2016:  17:17:01

I volunteered to go, but never got to. I was stuck stateside fixing broken jet engines. They came back full of sand

OM45GE - Posted - 05/24/2016:  03:36:11

There's a plant in town here that makes missiles. I was making a delivery there and there were rows of identical missiles except that one row was in desert camouflage and the other was jungle cameo. Both versions were being sent to the Middle East.  The desert versions were going to Israel and the jungle ones to Saudi Arabia. I wonder what the story behind that story is.

DeanT - Posted - 05/24/2016:  05:33:00

probably in the middle of the changeover, in the mid 90's everything went to desert camo, even AF uniforms

dat - Posted - 05/24/2016:  06:10:38

on my brothers first trip to Iraq one of the humvees in his outfit had ac/ leather seats and civilian dash/ radio.

OM45GE - Posted - 05/24/2016:  06:49:10

My dad was a pilot in WWII. For part of his tour he was the flying chauffeur for one of the Army Air Corps generals. The plane was the corporate plane for Chrysler Corp and was apparently pretty luxurious for the time.

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/24/2016:  07:23:53

When Canadian forces went to join Desert Storm, they didn't have desert style camo, still having the jungle green type - Canadian authorities were embarrassed and kind of apologized to the troops.

dat - Posted - 05/24/2016:  07:44:41

yeah,    hey, I'm sorry that you'll stick out like a green flag while everybody else can blend in, ...  just try to stay low eh

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/24/2016:  07:55:36

Hah,, stay REAL low,eh, like maybe dig a foxhole...lol

OM45GE - Posted - 05/24/2016:  09:19:05

Did they have them carry a bulls eye?

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/24/2016:  09:37:25

Must be why they shipped over some Tim Hortons portable canteens,,to placate the grumbling troops

OM45GE - Posted - 05/24/2016:  10:56:19

I was looking for that cartoon too Daniel. One of my favorites.

DeanT - Posted - 05/24/2016:  11:04:10

have you noticed that camo is now pixelated?

OM45GE - Posted - 05/24/2016:  11:46:02

Before I had my cataract surgery, everything looked pixelated.

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/24/2016:  11:56:57

I take "Supervision" ,a hoibal product, for my eyes. I don't know if it works, but I ain't blind yet....the last two years I've passed my eye exam on my class 1 licence renewal, so who knows.  13 years ago I had to get glasses to get my class 1 ...go figure.

my vision in the last year or so has gotten harder to see up close, my arms need to be a little longer to hold stuff out farther to be clear,  probably from staring at this danged computer,   it can't be from getting older

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 05/24/2016:  13:32:10

We've got a new consultant today, and the computer I have her set up at has one of those glare reducer things on it.  I was trying to help her log into the computer and do some things and I found the screen unbearably blurry.  I don't know how she's managing to use it.

I think the last consultant we had removed the anti glare thing.

dmiller - Posted - 05/24/2016:  20:12:35

I never needed glasses until about 15 years ago.  My arms were getting "too short" too, so I went into LensCrafters for an exam.  They hit me up with an immediate prescription for bi-focals.  Took some getting used to, and it still isn't the easiest thing when driving at night.
