We use hot dogs for pills. Slit the piece of hot dog, insert pill.
OM45GE - Posted - 10/03/2017: 17:26:31
Too much salt in hot dogs for the Tobster. They give him the runs.
DeanT - Posted - 10/03/2017: 19:15:33
Chicken skins are what our greyhound can't handle... unless we want to be up all night!
OM45GE - Posted - 10/04/2017: 03:13:36
I just don't give him people food, except for the PB now and then for meds. A lot of mess are chewable now too, which solves that problem.
DeanT - Posted - 10/04/2017: 12:57:09
Ours get PB every night on their rawhide... we are such pushovers
DeanT - Posted - 10/04/2017: 16:54:33
we've been through that... our 8 pound Shih-Tzu made it up to 13 pounds at one point...
OM45GE - Posted - 10/06/2017: 02:48:39
Toby got up to 80 lbs. He’s back down to 70 which the vet says is good. He’s still big for a Springer Spaniel, but not overweight for how tall he is.
DeanT - Posted - 10/06/2017: 06:50:34
Our greyhound is 62 pounds, which is average for greyhounds. She's a picky eater, and has never gained an extra ounce
OM45GE - Posted - 10/06/2017: 17:53:33
Male Springers are supposed to be around 55 pounds. Toby is just big. He towers over normal sized Springers.
DeanT - Posted - 10/07/2017: 04:52:59
Our shi-tzu is 8 pounds, when she's shaved for the summer there's nothing there...

I had a Golden Retriever who was enormous too. He was 110 pounds and all muscle. He used to play with a big Rottweiler and more than held his own.
Maybe it's the food I use.
DeanT - Posted - 10/07/2017: 09:13:51
I've met a 110 pound greyhound... he was enormous! I'd hate the food bill!
OM45GE - Posted - 10/07/2017: 17:26:57
I can't imagine a greyhound that big. He must have been amazing.
DeanT - Posted - 10/08/2017: 02:26:15
The greyhound on the right is a small 75 pounder compared to the big one!
DeanT - Posted - 10/09/2017: 06:49:30
Yes, I've had them my whole life, I couldn't imagine live without them
OM45GE - Posted - 10/09/2017: 07:27:20
I have too, but lately I've been wondering if I want to get another when Toby goes. Hopefully that will be a long time from now. He's a great dog and a joy to have around, but they are a ton of work.

I thought about getting a dog for a trucking companion...,a lot of drivers have them.
DeanT - Posted - 10/09/2017: 10:23:39
I can see myself going to smaller dogs as I grow older. The greyhounds are work, but the little Shi-Tzu is nothing. She was a stray 5 years ago that found us. I was never a little dog person, but she won my heart.
OM45GE - Posted - 10/09/2017: 16:44:30
I knew a driver who's sleeper looked like a jungle terrarium. He had about a dozen snakes in there including a big constrictor. I wouldn't be able to sleep.
OM45GE - Posted - 10/10/2017: 02:44:57
He had grow lights for the plants and what I think were plexiglass tanks for the snakes. I’m with you Dean - too creepy.
chuckv97 - Posted - 10/10/2017: 07:53:13
Hah.....when I sometimes get my truck inspected at the borderthey always ask first,” any snakes in there?”

Mess with them by throwing a recording of a rattle snake, in the CD player...
OM45GE - Posted - 10/13/2017: 02:34:57
What’s the most remarkable thing you’ve seen in a four wheeler while you’ve been driving your truck?
chuckv97 - Posted - 10/16/2017: 19:55:30
In Georgia years ago- this gal was in a car with her boyfriend driving. She was topless and would hang out the passenger window showing her “wares” to every truck they passed. Crazy

One time I was stuck in traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike next to a car with a woman enthusiastically pleasuring a man.
chuckv97 - Posted - 10/21/2017: 13:22:01
Actually I rarely look down into cars 😇, kind of feel like a peeping tom
chuckv97 - Posted - 10/21/2017: 20:18:41
Yeah, I wonder how many racy vids have been made like that in those situations
chuckv97 - Posted - 10/23/2017: 08:23:04
Bobby Osborne just did a BeeGees song - “Gotta Get a Message to You”- on his latest album, Bluegrass style of course. Actually sounds pretty good. The guy’s over 80 years old.
