Crazy traffic on my way to work this morning....

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/12/2014:  08:28:12

Good luck, Dean

I heard a comedian say that he couldn't drive 26 miles without stopping for a pee.

DeanT - Posted - 04/12/2014:  13:56:15

Thanks you guys! I ran 26.2 miles in 3:38:51 ... and didn't have to stop and pee!!!

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 04/12/2014:  17:22:22

Wow. I'm impressed.

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/12/2014:  17:42:29

You mean you peed Without stopping?

OM45GE - Posted - 04/12/2014:  18:29:05

Nice job Dean!

DeanT - Posted - 04/12/2014:  19:30:50

Thanks! I was sweating so bad... I didn't have to pee until like 5 hours later!

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 04/13/2014:  07:36:43

My younger dog gets very tense about pooping in different situations. Like when I go to visit my parents she won't poop on the trip home and looks guilty about peeing when she's on the leash. She was in the kennel this week because I was out of town and I think she didn't go at all and was pretty desperate and constipated. Last night she was pacing pacing pacing. I let her out a few times but she just barked at the neighbors and tried to see under to fence. Finally she went in the upstairs hall and then ran and hid. It was a huge pile! I felt so bad because that couldn't have been comfortable.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/13/2014:  08:36:02

I had trained my Golden Retriever not to poop on short grass so he did his duty in the field behind the house. Then we had a huge blizzard and he wouldn't poop until I snow blew a path to the field

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/13/2014:  08:45:08

Methinks this petpoop stuff is rather unappetizing at breakfast. (however, this oatmeal kinda reminds me of......oh, never mind)

DeanT - Posted - 04/13/2014:  09:12:50

with cats and dogs and birds... we live a poo filled life...

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/13/2014:  09:30:48

as in Winnie the Pooh?

DeanT - Posted - 04/13/2014:  10:40:02

If our house floated, it would be Noas ark

OM45GE - Posted - 04/14/2014:  03:09:31

We've just got Toby, a lonely Beta fish (five years old and still swimming after its sparring partner went belly up) and three human animals.

dat - Posted - 04/14/2014:  05:49:21

we still have the neighbors dog

OM45GE - Posted - 04/14/2014:  05:55:57

Are you dog sitting?

DeanT - Posted - 04/14/2014:  06:00:03

greyhounds don't sit very well

OM45GE - Posted - 04/14/2014:  07:25:05

Why?

dat - Posted - 04/14/2014:  10:12:15

our neighbors dog adopted us, he sleeps on our porch and keeps varmints away. the neighbors keep food out but aren't home much, the dog lives at our house and goes through the woods to the neighbors to eat then comes back to our house to spend the day and night.   pretty good set up, we have a dog around that somebody else feeds and pays the vet bills

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 04/14/2014:  10:12:35

My little dog sits pretty well but if you try to get him to lay down he just stands up again.

Granted his legs are only a few inches long so there's not a lot of different between him sitting and standing.

dat - Posted - 04/14/2014:  10:39:52

you may have to get your dog a set of stilts

Sounds like the best of both worlds.

DeanT - Posted - 04/14/2014:  11:02:39

when a greyhound tries to sit, their butt is still 3" from the ground

OM45GE - Posted - 04/14/2014:  14:48:35

So it's either running or sleeping?

dat - Posted - 04/14/2014:  15:17:17

Niffers dog could just about walk under a sitting greyhound

DeanT - Posted - 04/14/2014:  16:06:49

sometimes they run and sleep at the same time

OM45GE - Posted - 04/14/2014:  16:29:25

That's something I would love to see.

DeanT - Posted - 04/14/2014:  18:52:16

just hope they are not sleeping in the bed next to you when they start racing...

OM45GE - Posted - 04/15/2014:  04:38:38

Toby chases things in his dreams.

dat - Posted - 04/15/2014:  05:48:57

I've heard people say that dogs don't dream, but when you watch a dog run and bark in their sleep, you know they do dream

DeanT - Posted - 04/15/2014:  06:05:10

It's amazing how stupid people who don't have dogs, can be about dogs. I have always believed that dogs are a whole lot smarter than we realize. And they dream their asses off.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/15/2014:  06:42:34

They definitely dream. Toby woke up from a sound sleep and ran to the front door barking and growling. It was clear he had dreamt someone was there. Startled  the crap out of me but it pretty funny.

My one kitty can be downright dangerous when she starts dreaming.  I won't let her into the bedroom anymore but she used to wake me up thrashing about.  She also falls off of chairs and stuff a lot when she starts dreaming.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 04/15/2014:  07:10:09

I swear my first dog had a nightmare once. It was when she was maybe 6 months or so. I was in bed and I heard her suddenly start crying. I moved over in my bed and she came running from her bed and jumped into bed with me. She was shaking she was so scared.

That's the only time that ever happened.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/15/2014:  08:39:32

Poor thing.

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/15/2014:  08:45:27

Dog-gone those dreams

dat - Posted - 04/15/2014:  09:07:33

this right here proves, beyond any doubt, that dogs do dream

Cool wooden shoes

OM45GE - Posted - 04/16/2014:  04:32:46

That definitely proves it.

DeanT - Posted - 04/16/2014:  05:44:27

I never knew Shih-Tzu's were such cool little dogs. Mine is in my lap right now. My wife took her to work yesterday, and I missed her all day.

dat - Posted - 04/16/2014:  06:25:05

and they double as a dish rag

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 04/16/2014:  06:27:33

Gotta love a pet that can multitask.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/16/2014:  06:47:22

My friend that built the land speed record motorcycle we take out to Bonneville has a Shih Tzu. I'm a sporting dog kind of guy, but Charlie's is a great little dog.

dat - Posted - 04/16/2014:  07:10:50

me too, a dog that can point and fetch is hard to beat

DeanT - Posted - 04/16/2014:  10:32:15

She doesn't bark... I don't even know if she can

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 04/16/2014:  13:59:32

My smaller dog won't bark unless there's another dog in the house. Before I had a second dog, the only time he would bark was when I was visiting my parents in Indiana. Now that I have another dog he barks a fair bit.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/17/2014:  04:59:13

I thought my last Golden Retrieve couldn't bark until he was about three years old. Someone knocked on the door and he went berserk. It wasn't the first time someone came to the door but it was the first time he barked when they did.

DeanT - Posted - 04/17/2014:  05:44:26

How come the neighbor's dog never stops barking?
