what's it going to be like in ten years? Iphone implants?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 01/06/2013:  13:05:40

I don't even want to think about it.

OM45GE - Posted - 01/06/2013:  16:00:29

It's already pretty incredible.

DeanT - Posted - 01/06/2013:  16:05:38

I'd be happy with a new knee and some new glasses

OM45GE - Posted - 01/07/2013:  03:55:37

Sounds like a reasonable wish list to me.

DeanT - Posted - 01/07/2013:  07:04:57

My new GPS sports watch comes with a charger, just like a cell phone. How incredibly cool is that? No more dorking with watch batteries and trying not to use the indiglow light too much for fear of dead batteries.

dat - Posted - 01/07/2013:  07:06:10

I still don't have a cell phone, but I am spoiled to the internet

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 01/07/2013:  09:23:10

I have a cell phone but the battery is dying. If I want to talk for longer than 15 minutes I need to have it plugged in. So it's kind of like having a landline.

mbanjo - Posted - 01/07/2013:  09:23:48

Wouldn't it be good if we could attach a charger to our bodies and top up all the worn out parts?

dat - Posted - 01/07/2013:  09:37:39

dat - Posted - 01/07/2013:  09:44:14

Erin Gray from the old Buck Rogers TV show is 63 today,   I was in love when I was a kid when that show came on

mbanjo - Posted - 01/07/2013:  09:49:38

That was a good show

DeanT - Posted - 01/07/2013:  10:27:51

I'm still in love with Daisy Duke

dat - Posted - 01/07/2013:  10:48:13

Wilma Deering

Wonder Woman

Daisy Duke

Ellie Mae Clampett

Jeannie

I'm sure there were more, but they were the easiest to think of

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 01/07/2013:  11:24:25

I can't say I was ever in love with any of them, but I had a pretty big case of hero worship.

ErikH - Posted - 01/07/2013:  14:29:38

I had the hots for the Bionic Woman, too.

mbanjo - Posted - 01/07/2013:  15:01:40

I was in love with the girls from baywatch........

dat - Posted - 01/07/2013:  15:01:44

I don't know how, but I had forgotten about her,

DeanT - Posted - 01/07/2013:  17:33:31

I was on second shift during the Baywatch heyday... and never did figure out the VCR....

mbanjo - Posted - 01/07/2013:  22:29:40

I bought the whole of the series on dvd from a local thrift shop for less than $10...........great watching for many many nights.

DeanT - Posted - 01/08/2013:  00:11:05

I miss the good old days of good TV shows. Charlies Angels, Ba-ba Black Sheep, Dukes of Hazzard... they just don't have shows like that anymore. Who remember BJ and the Bear?

mbanjo - Posted - 01/08/2013:  00:20:43

I don't think I ever watched BJ and the bear, ....................another one that comes to mind is Mod Squad.

ErikH - Posted - 01/08/2013:  02:24:52

I used to watch BJ and the Bear.  Saturday nights if I remember correctly.  Remember Heather Thomas on "The Fall Guy"?

OM45GE - Posted - 01/08/2013:  04:17:15

I never saw the show, but it this her?

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  05:57:20

Heather Thomas was HOT, and the fall guy had a nice truck

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 01/08/2013:  06:52:57

I liked the Fall Guy.

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  06:55:45

I had forgotten about BJ and the bear

how 'bout  Adam 12

DeanT - Posted - 01/08/2013:  07:22:04

Now were getting back there... with Adam 12 and Emergency. But then, I still remember Laugh-in and Sonny and Cher too.

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  07:39:30

Laugh in with Goldie Hawn wearin a bikini

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  07:47:43

and the Carole Burnette show and Red Skelton, Red was a classic

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  11:15:03

Not going to lie, all of those shows were before my time...

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:08:40

yep, your just a young pup, all the rules of stuff they won't let you do is because we did them and they made a rule against it afterwards

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:12:33

Don't worry, we just come up with new excuses or ways of finding the loopholes in the rules. Keeps us thinking! (well, somewhat, there are still the morons who do it for the heck of it. But we shun those people lol)

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:38:16

it's good to think, that's why they made the rules, we didn't think

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:41:47

Yeah but from what I hear, life was way more fun back then!

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:43:17

by the way, I like your picture   View Alaina's Homepage

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:44:40

I did, and do enjoy the life I have been given

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  12:48:07

Thank you, my friend posted it on facebook and I temporarily kidnapped it lol.

I enjoy mine too, especially when I was over in Europe. They pretty much have the same rules as we used to have!

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  14:10:15

some of the stories my brother told when he went to Amsterdam, whew

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  14:11:05

Been there big

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  14:27:35

I haven't done much traveling out of the states, I went across the border into Mexico about 20 years ago, I wouldn't care to go again, there are plenty of places here in the states I haven't seen yet

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  14:28:10

I'm in love with Europe. It was freaking incredible!

dat - Posted - 01/08/2013:  14:44:40

so is Arkansas , and the Texas Hill Country, and the Shanendoah Valley, Chattanoga Tennessee,

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  14:52:07

Some parts of California are, but only if you catch them when the sun is starting to set as storm clouds are rolling in. Granted those two things can make anything look amazing

ErikH - Posted - 01/08/2013:  15:52:04

Give me the Black Hills of South Dakota.  Just incredible.  California has some breathtaking areas, too, like Sequoia, Muir Woods, and Monterey.  When I was in my teens we took a drive up State Route 1.  Pretty impressive, although the houses and shacks along some of the beachfront detract from the view.

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  15:55:22

Give me the middle of nowhere Kansas during late July early August, thunderheads rolling in, the cool breeze on a hot day blowing through your hair, curled up on a porch swing with a glass of cold sweet tea. I'll never forget those days

ErikH - Posted - 01/08/2013:  16:00:35

I drove from Deadwood SD to Minneapolis MN two years ago with a HUGE thunder/hail storm chasing me most of the way.  I understand what you are talking about.

Alaina - Posted - 01/08/2013:  16:01:55

My cousin and I spent one summer chasing tornados all across Kansas. We only managed to catch one of them, but the skies were to die for

ErikH - Posted - 01/08/2013:  16:13:04

Part of the reason I liked shows like BJ and the Bear and Movin' On when I was a kid is because I had this romantic vision of seeing things like that every time you made a run as a cross-country trucker.
