I grew a beard once, it grew out thick and long, I looked like grizzley Adams,  had it for about a year or so then shaved it off, didn't like it.    I still have a 'stash, but keep my hair short.   just don't like it as it grows out

I hear you.  It's harder to keep a beard trimmed/ even on both sides/ and looking decent/ than it is to shave every morning.  Of course if you're like those Duck Dynasty boys - - the easiest thing to do is forget it, let it grow, and rake in the royalties!

Drove by Walmart tonight (6:30 PM) with one of the clients of our house.  The parking lot was mayhem.  There wasn't an empty spot in the parking lot (which easily holds several hundreds of cars), and folks were also double parked on the frontage road that runs in front of the store.  I can't even begin to imagine what it was like inside there on this Thanksgiving evening.

I've always thought being "normal" is following your own path.

(Even when it comes to shopping on "special days).

"Herd and Group" mentality has never been my thing.

For the record - -  My mother's name is Norma.

She has  enough "quirks in her personality" that

the high school students under her (back in the day) 

called her "Ab - Norma.  She was able to laugh that off.

5 dollar pizza,  I'll get their hamburger pizza sometimes, less greasy than peperoni and better flavor than their sausage, but costs 6.50 out the door instead of 5.40
