Tough question! On several levels...

OM45GE - Posted - 03/25/2017:  23:03:59

I know.

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/26/2017:  00:41:44

One can't wish for a better past

DeanT - Posted - 03/26/2017:  07:36:57

I certainly learned from it.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/27/2017:  02:40:09

Thanks for the memories. 😎

DeanT - Posted - 03/27/2017:  10:23:57

My memories have a soundtrack. I smile a lot with certain old songslaugh

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/27/2017:  11:15:25

Me too....Tequila Sunrise comes to mind

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/27/2017:  12:39:40

youtu.be/BiG-_8LllAQ     This one too, with the fantastic Bill Keith banjo breaks....although I only met two gals that could relate, and they were,,,..ahem..."pleasantly plump"

Never underestimate the memory potential of pleasantly plump...tongue

OM45GE - Posted - 03/28/2017:  02:54:36

rubenesque is a good word.

DeanT - Posted - 03/28/2017:  06:40:14

It's the new hot

OM45GE - Posted - 03/28/2017:  13:49:23

I like women on the petite side myself.

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/28/2017:  14:56:35

A sultry cello player with green eyes who works at the library

DeanT - Posted - 03/28/2017:  15:18:24

is she a wish or a memory?

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/28/2017:  16:51:45

I've met but not dated all three types, but not all in one person. I did go out with a green'eyed lady years ago,,still looking for the sultry cello player......

DeanT - Posted - 03/28/2017:  17:50:21

I've never dated a musician...

OM45GE - Posted - 03/29/2017:  09:16:33

My second wife was a guitarist and singer. I met her when we did a play together. We did a couple of gigs together.

DeanT - Posted - 03/29/2017:  11:25:02

The guitar players/singers in my band are a married couple. Sometimes it gets interesting...

OM45GE - Posted - 03/29/2017:  17:28:20

Generally, I don't think it's a great idea, but it can work out I guess.

DeanT - Posted - 03/29/2017:  17:33:18

When they are pissed at eachother, it effects the show

OM45GE - Posted - 03/29/2017:  17:38:55

I was in a rock band once and the rhythm guitar player was "dating" one of the singers. We were taking a break and I went out back and they were having a fist fight - seriously slugging at each other. I tried to break the fight up and they turned on me saying it was how they settled things.

We did the last two sets with out rhythm guitar or a backup singer.

Love hurts

DeanT - Posted - 03/29/2017:  18:44:37

Love is a Battlefield

dmiller - Posted - 03/29/2017:  23:32:12

Reminds me of the song Neil Young and Linda Rhonstadt sang way back when:

"Love is a rose, but you better not pick it.

It only grows when its on the vine.

Handful of thorns and you know you've missed it.

Lose your love when you say the word mine".

DeanT - Posted - 03/30/2017:  04:58:13

2 out of 3 aint bad...

OM45GE - Posted - 03/30/2017:  06:00:41

That would be batting .666 in baseball.

DeanT - Posted - 03/30/2017:  09:03:19

That could also mean getting a lot of hits, but never making it home...

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/30/2017:  10:32:51

You mean sliding into home plate?

DeanT - Posted - 03/30/2017:  13:07:47

yep... by the dashboard light

OM45GE - Posted - 03/31/2017:  03:45:00

I once went parking with another couple in an Austin Healey Sprite. That was an interesting tangle.

Two buddies ,one girlfriend and me drove to the Quebec Winter Carnival from near Toronto in an MG"B" one cold February. Talk about cramped legs.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/31/2017:  09:26:01

Fun times.

DeanT - Posted - 03/31/2017:  11:30:57

When I was a kid, I used to ride in the well, behind the back seat of my Dad's VW bug. I was a skinny kid.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/31/2017:  16:38:00

They would arrest him for that nowadays.

When I was a kid the dump was down a curvy, hilly road we called the "rollercoaster" road. On the way back from the dump my dad let us ride in the trunk with the lid propped open.

DeanT - Posted - 03/31/2017:  17:37:35

and here we still are!!!

chuckv97 - Posted - 03/31/2017:  17:40:46

Hope it wasn't a VW bug ,Bill, with trunk lid propped open

OM45GE - Posted - 03/31/2017:  18:18:03

LOL. THAT would be interesting - and Dad had a 50's era bug too. It was actually a Citroen DS and the trunk prop had a locking mechanism. The air ride made the car float over the bumps so the ride was even more fun.

DeanT - Posted - 04/01/2017:  07:20:37

we were just normal American ride in the back of the farm pick-up kids.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/01/2017:  07:35:15

Yeah, we used to ride in the back of the pickup too - with all the empty beer cans.

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/01/2017:  07:45:20

I worked on farms every summer- the guy would pick us up ,one by one around town, and we'd sit in the pickup box going down the freeway (QEW in Ontario) at 70 mph. At 6:30 in the morning in late August at 45*F , it'd definitely wake you up. lol

OM45GE - Posted - 04/01/2017:  07:48:30

I get cold just thinking about it.

DeanT - Posted - 04/01/2017:  17:19:10

I rode my 10 speed on the shoulder of the interstate to get to my summer job... to make enough money to buy my first car.

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/02/2017:  13:39:37

My old three speed racer had one of these.....

My summer job in high school was at the bike store... I used to overhaul those 3 speed hubs!

OM45GE - Posted - 04/02/2017:  17:10:09

And that led you into aircraft  maintenance?

Edited by - OM45GE on 04/02/2017 17:10:26

DeanT - Posted - 04/02/2017:  17:20:33

Yep!!! Believe it or not... those 3 speed hubs were more complicated than a jet engine.

chuckv97 - Posted - 04/02/2017:  21:45:34

I can believe it....

It's amazing how reliable they are.

DeanT - Posted - 04/03/2017:  05:31:49

They also had a oil fill port, and a few drops of oil every month, and they would last forever, but very few folks knew that.

OM45GE - Posted - 04/03/2017:  05:56:28

My dad taught me to keep the oiled. My bike had a strap around the shifter drum that kept it clean (sort of).
