man,  I haven't heard of them in years,    wasn't the scooby doo cartoon series about like the hardy boys books?

DeanT - Posted - 07/08/2015:  10:11:19

I liked Rocky III the best of all. He pounded the holy crap out of Mister T

dat - Posted - 07/08/2015:  12:06:58

I pity tha fool.

I never did care for Mr T,  even in the A team,  but I did like Murdock

chuckv97 - Posted - 07/08/2015:  12:29:30

You've probably heard of Chuck Wepner(on the left) ,the New Jersey fighter that Stallone modeled his character after. He once worked for the mob as a kneecapper, and fought 15 rounds with Ali in 1975. He knocked Ali down, and that riled Ali to where he pummeled Wepner and won the fight. Werner became a liquor salesman, then sued Stallone for some "royalty" moolah. Don't know if he won.

DeanT - Posted - 07/08/2015:  14:04:43

interesting! No never heard that story!

dat - Posted - 07/08/2015:  14:46:53

amazing what you can learn on the BHO,  I didn't know that either, but did google it

OM45GE - Posted - 07/09/2015:  07:28:32

Great story.

DeanT - Posted - 07/09/2015:  10:18:17

I actually thought Rocky 6 was pretty good, but still pissed he didn't win

OM45GE - Posted - 07/09/2015:  17:53:15

My wife is watching reality TV (Botched) and I'm doing my best to ignore it. Played music for an hour or so and now the hangout for a while

DeanT - Posted - 07/09/2015:  18:15:42

that's one of them shows that you can't unsee, and can scar you for life

chuckv97 - Posted - 07/09/2015:  23:11:35

Boris Karloff hosting "Thriller" in the '60's scarred me .......of course the antidote was "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family"

I always liked the Adams Family, the Munsters was OK but Herman was a goof

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 07/10/2015:  11:57:13

I feel like I used to watch more TV when I was younger, but when people talk about the old shows I don't really remember what they're talking about.  So I guess I'm not much of a TV watcher at all.

I did recently get The Big Bang Theory, seasons 1-7 on DVD and have been watching those.  So I have caught up on at least some of the jokes people tell around the office.

dat - Posted - 07/10/2015:  12:09:25

I watched   "Turn" on netflix, now waiting for the next season

DeanT - Posted - 07/10/2015:  12:18:34

Heros is coming back this fall yeah!!!

OM45GE - Posted - 07/10/2015:  15:21:47

Thank goodness for Netflix.

DeanT - Posted - 07/11/2015:  06:22:16

I've never done Netflix

OM45GE - Posted - 07/11/2015:  09:31:49

They've got an incredible selection of TV shows and movies. I use a site called Acorn for British TV shows.

DeanT - Posted - 07/11/2015:  13:34:12

I don't think i watch enough TV to worry about it. I'm pretty happy with whatever is on. with 63 channels I can find something. If our TV blew up, I wouldn't miss it much.

chuckv97 - Posted - 07/11/2015:  15:34:49

About all I watch is baseball and hockey, and the odd documentary.

DeanT - Posted - 07/11/2015:  18:27:12

I like Nascar and Ancient Aliens, but I can stream them on my computer too

dat - Posted - 07/13/2015:  06:39:44

we don't watch much, my bride talked me into netflix,  turns out we watch it more often than anything on TV,  which still isn't often, not really sure it's worth the monthly fee no more than we watch.   the same old stuff as far as movies, but the old tv shows you can watch Andy Griffith or the Twilight Zone all day long

DeanT - Posted - 07/13/2015:  10:02:17

Andy Griffith is on two channels of our basic cable. Dukes of Hazzards used to besad

dat - Posted - 07/13/2015:  10:11:24

I fell in love with Daisy, now that I look back, she wasn't really as pretty as I thought,    guess I couldn't get past the shorts before

DeanT - Posted - 07/13/2015:  14:16:30

I liked Mindy better back then.

dat - Posted - 07/13/2015:  14:22:44

she was a hottie,  still not a bad looking lady

Wow! Not bad for 64 years old. I also used to think Cotter's wife was a hottie

I remember trying desperately to get my legs to look like Daisy Duke's.

DeanT - Posted - 07/14/2015:  10:03:49

Enos wanted daisy really bad

OM45GE - Posted - 07/15/2015:  03:12:36

She was a cutie for sure. I wonder how many girls drove themselves crazy trying to emulate Daisy's legs.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 07/15/2015:  08:08:42

Tons, I'm sure.  When I think back to female characters in TV shows, she's one of the strongest memories I had.  She was like Wonder Woman--she was willing to fight and get involved in the action--but at the same time she was a more realistic character (she drove a Jeep, not an invisible plane!) and someone who hung with the guys and had a good time.  I know a lot of my impression of her is blurred by my age when I watched the show (I have it on DVD and when I watch it now I kind of cringe at some of it), but as a kid she came across to me as a strong character, a friend of the guys rather than a romantic character, and someone I'd want to hang out with.

And she was hot.

DeanT - Posted - 07/15/2015:  10:13:20

She was the first big poster I had on my wall. Most of the guys had Farah Fawcett.

dat - Posted - 07/15/2015:  10:26:19

I had a Dolly Poster

OM45GE - Posted - 07/15/2015:  10:36:03

So many women, so little time.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 07/15/2015:  18:19:15

I had a picture of Roemer on my wall.

DeanT - Posted - 07/15/2015:  22:11:41

My sister had horses all over her wall, and a collection of Beyer horses, and her real horses in the barn. She still has horses.

One of my favorite songs! My band plays it, and it's always a hit.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/16/2015:  18:44:51

He is a smart kid. I think there was a mix-up in the nursery.

chuckv97 - Posted - 07/16/2015:  21:43:22

Thanks Chuck. He's taken some of the tunes I play and arranged them for piano or trumpet. We've done some blues jamming too. It's been great.

Honestly, he's a better musician than I am. It just seems to come naturally to him. Fun to watch a budding talent.
