dat - Posted - 01/06/2014: 12:42:28
still below freezing here, normally if it gets below freezing, it'll be above it by 10 am. I'm glad we have global warming or it would really be cold
dat - Posted - 01/06/2014: 14:54:14

I remember learning that song as a right of passage as a guitar player
dat - Posted - 01/08/2014: 08:09:22
I wonder if the gut that sang that ever learned more songs on the guitar., he was kinds slow handed wasn't he?![]()
DeanT - Posted - 01/09/2014: 10:14:38
The first gig I ever played in my life was 40 minutes and only 9 songs. That was the closing song, that's why I'll never forget it!

I don't think my fingers could hold out for that long anymore. I haven't played regular since I sliced my fingertips on the tablesaw, I'll pick it up every once in a while, but it just doesn't feel right on the fingertips
dat - Posted - 01/09/2014: 15:05:25
or just start cranking on the tuners on my brides D 28 to see ifin I can make it sound like a dobro

Whew, friday morning, after the last few weeks of having days off, this has been a long week
DeanT - Posted - 01/10/2014: 06:23:45
when you retire, every day is Friday... or Monday depending on how you look at it
dat - Posted - 01/13/2014: 08:30:47
I cleaned my chimney saturday, I was black from head to toe when I finished
dat - Posted - 01/13/2014: 12:42:38
yeah, I burned a lot of wood last few weeks, but it's 78* F here now
DeanT - Posted - 01/13/2014: 16:23:43
We have one of them cute little electric heaters that looks like a wood burning stove... with the lighted rotating fire graphics. They sell them near the front door at Tractor Supply all winter long. Works really good too. The best part is I don't have to cut wood. Wow, keep that heat down there! All our snow melted darn it...
dat - Posted - 01/14/2014: 07:14:24
we just got an Atwoods here, they may put a hurt on Tractor Supply's business
DeanT - Posted - 01/14/2014: 11:07:52
We have Atwoods too, and Menards, and Lowes. Atwoods has the best prices on dog food by far!
dat - Posted - 01/14/2014: 14:20:19
they just opened here, probably won't shop there much, but will probably go there as much as tractor supply, mostly 'cause it's closer

A few things came together at the same time. My company was bought and the new parent company limits personal computer use of company computers. They track where you visit and I figured the BHO wouldn't look good career wise. My home computer died. I bought another vintage Martin guitar (1893 0-28) and was spending more time playing music than playing on the internet. Next thing you know, it's almost a year later.
I finally got a new computer for home and wanted to get back on.

My first ex was pretty vindictive. In her proposed property settlement, she put down that she wanted everything that she thought I wanted – my old 67 Ford pickup, 76’ Harley Super Glide in pieces, etc. and she said they were worth at least double what they really were. My lawyer asked me about the value of them and then how attached I really was. I said “they’re just stuff and not worth the money”. When we got to court and we got to the property, he told the judge we agreed to everything my wife asked and said we wanted half the value. I wish I had a picture of her and her shyster lawyer’s faces.
dat - Posted - 01/15/2014: 11:13:43
Glad I don't have an X, but I think I would let her have it all and just start over if something did happen, we owe enough that she wouldn't want it
OM45GE - Posted - 01/15/2014: 13:06:00
So, half of nothing is nothing? ![]()
My ex would have wanted it anyway.
DeanT - Posted - 01/15/2014: 15:34:55
I let my first x have everything, and then declared bankruptcy. The repo man went to her house. I left for basic training with everything I owned in one suitcase.
