he's a cool cat. Someone dropped off a box full of kittens at a local goodwill. One got away and climbed into a gutter spout. That's how we met Frets :)
dat - Posted - 09/26/2012: 06:28:38
last cat we had kept catching birds from the bird feeders, my bride found another home for it
OM45GE - Posted - 09/26/2012: 06:56:48
By brother and his family have a cat (Bob) and a talking bird (Tony). The bird says "here kitty" and "nice kitty" and makes a smooching sound like he's calling him. Bob pretty much ignores Tony.
DeanT - Posted - 09/26/2012: 07:49:46
one of our birds makes a hairball sound... they both meow... crazy birds
OM45GE - Posted - 09/26/2012: 08:12:25
Tony does a great wolf whistle. The only problem is he does it often and very loud. You have to put the cover on his cage to have a conversation in the room with him.

we never have kept birds, we feed the wild ones, but let them fly off when they're done eating

I like having one dog, seems like when you have more they compete for attention, once you start petting one, the other/ others will come up and try to get in there too. our oldest girl would have a dozen. nothing wrong with having as many as you want and can take care of, but I think having one makes a better dog.

We had Toby's chopped off too as I had no intention of breeding him and in my experience they're a lot less aggressive without em. He still humps everything canine that moves though.
dat - Posted - 09/26/2012: 15:05:01
I've always been lucky so far with dogs not being aggressive, my last lab would bark and growl and folks that drive up would stay in their truck, but he never did any more than that, at least not while I was there. after barking he would come stand behind me and wag his tail
OM45GE - Posted - 09/26/2012: 15:24:33
That's pretty much what Toby does. He's got a menacing grown and bark but after the show the biggest danger is getting licked to death.

LOL
The other evening I was walking Toby and ran into one of our (VERY attractive) neighbors walking her Wheaton Terrier. Toby immediately started humping Shamus on the head. She said "Wow, that's interesting." Without thinking, I said, "Toby, you're an inspiration" to which she replied, "I'll say."
Hmmmm....
OM45GE - Posted - 09/27/2012: 08:00:30
Her sister just bought a house at the end of the street and is even better looking. ...lead me not into temptation...
dat - Posted - 09/27/2012: 08:20:12
Toby needs to take a lot of walks, take your bride with you though
OM45GE - Posted - 09/27/2012: 10:29:47
I haven't seen any dog yet. I'll have to make a lot of flybys.
dat - Posted - 09/27/2012: 10:57:38
don't you walk your dog while you're wearing just a cowboy hat, boots and boxers?

It is a look the ladies will find hard to resist!

dat - Posted - 09/27/2012: 12:03:20

OM45GE - Posted - 09/27/2012: 13:16:46
I know. She hasn't been on here for a while that I've seen. Do you think it was something we said?

probably not, she is a good natured person that will joke along with you and probably make you blush with some of the things she said.
probably just busy and forgot about the folks here on the bottom.
I had her e mail, but when my old email got wiped out I lost a bunch of them
dat - Posted - 09/27/2012: 14:19:07
I got an e mail with a lot of dog shame pictures, some are pretty funny

I may have to drink a few beers this weekend, my bride and I are going camping and we're taking my mother
OM45GE - Posted - 09/28/2012: 13:01:44
My mom died a number of years ago, but when she was alive it would take more than a few beers to make camping with her tolerable.
DeanT - Posted - 09/28/2012: 14:53:57
Never went camping with my mom... wouldn't even consider it. About and hour is as long as we can get along, as long as we keep visits about 5 years apart.
DeanT - Posted - 09/28/2012: 18:37:44
It's really too bad. She never figured out that I'm not 14 anymore.
OM45GE - Posted - 09/29/2012: 05:14:18
Mine was quick to explore the depths of despair and wanted you along for the journey. You had to work to keep from looking for a chart of the human arteries and a sharp blade after a while.
DeanT - Posted - 09/29/2012: 08:19:27
Yikes... my sister is like that. She lives near my mom... in a different state
OM45GE - Posted - 09/29/2012: 17:06:06
A cesspool of despair was how one of my siblings referred to her. SHe was an incredible bright and talented woman - a gifted pianist, painter and quite funny when she wanted to be, just depressing as hell.
DeanT - Posted - 09/29/2012: 19:44:48
Fybro myalgia, Cronic fatigue, cronic depression, and every ailment that she hears about on TV or the internet. No idea what happened either... she was so full of life, a good guitar player and aspiring country singer and songwriter. Somewhere in her mid 20's it all went down the tubes. Addiction to antihistamines, self proclaimed mono, depression... and never really pulled out of it.
