OZ? Too many crocodiles.
DeanT - Posted - 11/06/2012: 23:49:15
Ohhh, I thought you meant OZ... Kansas... land of Dorothy and the flying monkeys.
OM45GE - Posted - 11/07/2012: 04:04:02
It would be nice to do the filming in Australia. I know some great restaurants and beaches in Sydney.
dat - Posted - 11/07/2012: 05:39:59
Australia has some pretty country too, I'll even bet there is some wind there to blow up some skirts
dat - Posted - 11/07/2012: 07:06:17

I didn't watch the video yet so I don't know if I can, but I LOVE the flying monkeys!!!
OM45GE - Posted - 11/07/2012: 09:46:15
What is it that they chant when they're marching into the castle? I used to think it was Oleo and wondered why they were so big on margarine.
Alaina - Posted - 11/07/2012: 09:48:17
Well according to Wreck it Ralph, they are saying "Oreo". I think they just thought it sounded cool haha
OM45GE - Posted - 11/07/2012: 09:56:56
The hardest song I've ever tried to learn is a guitar medley of Over the Rainbow and If I Only Had A Brain arranged by Tuck Andress. I've worked on it off and on for years and never been able to work it out.
Alaina - Posted - 11/07/2012: 09:57:32
I had a hard enough time learning the WORDS let alone the notes!
OM45GE - Posted - 11/07/2012: 09:59:41
He does a ton of false harmonics and these incredible chord changes. I've finally had to accept that it's beyond my ability.

Some things really do take the work of a genius and the rest of us must be content to just sit back and enjoy the art of it
Alaina - Posted - 11/07/2012: 10:04:23
Me too. And most are played on the piano and sung in Italian.
dat - Posted - 11/07/2012: 12:09:48
I can sit back and enjoy somebody that can really play Foggy Mountian Special

I'm going out for coffee with an old college buddy of mine. I'm looking forward to seeing him.
dat - Posted - 11/07/2012: 14:14:03
how do you like your coffee? I drink mine with no cream, no sugar and very little water. my bride adds hazelnut creamer to hers
Mr. Quimby - Posted - 11/07/2012: 16:43:23
I actually don't like coffee so I had iced tea. Without ice, because the ice machine was broken. But it was a good visit.
I don't remember the last time I saw him. Maybe a year ago? A little more?
He works for the alumni association for the college where we went, so he comes out to DC fairly frequently to meet with prospective donors and such. He usually tries to eke out an hour or so for us to get together. We managed to get an hour and a half before he had to run off to have dinner with another college buddy (someone I kind of know but not really well).
DeanT - Posted - 11/07/2012: 17:19:25
I quit soda... and have been OD-ing on ice tea lately. can't get enough.
OM45GE - Posted - 11/08/2012: 03:53:43
I like my coffee black and bitter - just like my outlook on life. ![]()
dat - Posted - 11/08/2012: 05:39:16
I'll usually get a couple of slices of coffee before I leave home, then I'll drink a cup or three here at work
Mr. Quimby - Posted - 11/08/2012: 05:46:52
I like iced tea but I can't drink it instead of soda. I really need the bubbles in soda. Too much water or iced tea upsets my tummy.
I do have a Soda Stream thing at home and often just drink the carbonated water from that. And sometimes I add a little sugar and a little lemon and make a carbonated lemonade.
But at work I have my Coke.

I've been thinking about making rootbeer, we have a thicket of sassafras trees I need to do something with, I've been mowing around them for years thinking about making something wirth them
dat - Posted - 11/08/2012: 09:50:23
WELL, I haven't ever made it, but this is the time of the year the sap is dropping down into the roots, pretty much dig up a foot or two of roots, clean the dirt off, then boil with spices and molasses. I've looked at some recipes, but never done it
dat - Posted - 11/08/2012: 10:55:02
yeah, but I'm feeling kinda sporty, I like to take chances every once in a while
dat - Posted - 11/08/2012: 12:46:47
I'll bet they're good, I used to eat dog biscuits when I was little
