leaking waders can be miserable

DeanT - Posted - 12/02/2015:  10:11:17

why do cars always break down when the weather sucks?

dat - Posted - 12/02/2015:  12:16:53

if your car breaks, then the weather sucks, no matter what the weather is like

DeanT - Posted - 12/02/2015:  17:43:38

I'm waiting for someone to invent a drone car, so we can fly everywhere.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/03/2015:  03:23:58

That would be fun, unless an angry neighbor decided to shoot it down.

DeanT - Posted - 12/03/2015:  05:21:10

Oh no, that will start a whole nother avenue for gun control arguments

dat - Posted - 12/03/2015:  05:56:19

If you fly around in your car, like on the Jetsons, how do you know where the ditches in the sky are so you can stay on the raod

dmiller - Posted - 12/03/2015:  09:20:44

Just stay above the ditches, instead of between them.

dat - Posted - 12/03/2015:  10:03:10

and watch out for birds

DeanT - Posted - 12/03/2015:  10:22:45

the skys will be fun when the bars let out on Saturday night

dat - Posted - 12/03/2015:  10:40:37

the dirt roads were always fun

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/03/2015:  16:41:51

Dirt roads , a full moon, and the headlights off

DeanT - Posted - 12/03/2015:  17:45:02

I barely remember most of those nights...

OM45GE - Posted - 12/03/2015:  18:06:56

Thankfully we survived them.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/03/2015:  19:17:30

But not in....tt..ac..tt....🤕

dmiller - Posted - 12/03/2015:  22:35:14

I'm lucky to have survived those years.  I almost bit off more than I could chew.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/04/2015:  03:28:09

Yeah, that was back when I was immortal.

DeanT - Posted - 12/04/2015:  05:39:03

I bought one of our city's guardrails. HUGE lesson right there. Lost my license for a year. Amazing how well your driving becomes when you don't have a license...

dat - Posted - 12/04/2015:  06:08:49

many nights I had so much fun that I couldn't remember it all,  sure glad I lived through and didn't hurt anybody else

DeanT - Posted - 12/04/2015:  12:20:05

same here, I killed the guardrail and totaled my car. Scared the crap outa me, because I could have hit someone else instead

OM45GE - Posted - 12/04/2015:  13:25:20

Amen brother.

dat - Posted - 12/04/2015:  13:39:55

I parked a 14 ft flatbottom boat 3 ft off the ground in some bushes once about 8 ft off the bank of the river, never spilt a drop of my "beverage"  seemed like the bend in the river was sharper than I could turn at the speed I was going.   fun was had by all

DeanT - Posted - 12/04/2015:  16:05:27

I'm just glad that video cameras and youtube wasn't around back in those days...

OM45GE - Posted - 12/04/2015:  16:45:56

A buddy of mine came out of the bar in a heavy snowstorm. He didn't bother cleaning off the windows so he opened the door to see where he was going as he backed out of his parking spot. He didn't notice that he tore the door off on a light post and drove home in the snow without a door.  The next morning he couldn't remember which bar he had been in and found it at the seed or third place he checked

good thing it wasn't a Delorian

dat - Posted - 12/05/2015:  08:32:39

64 1/2 mustang was bad enough to wreck, I wasn't driving though, I was drunk enough to trust the other drunk driving

DeanT - Posted - 12/05/2015:  09:25:06

I wrecked a Dodge Polara... no big loss there...

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/05/2015:  09:49:28

I never got in accidents....I just caused them

dat - Posted - 12/05/2015:  09:51:41

I never wrecked anything bad enough that I couldn't drive it away except for one time when I put a '78  K5 blazer greasy side up,  but that doesn't really count 'cause I wasn't drinking much at the time

OM45GE - Posted - 12/05/2015:  13:28:21

I was one of those drunken fools that God was watching over and never wrecked anything while drinking. I did drop a Harley after a very FAST, very drunk drive when I forgot to put the kickstand down when I got off the bike.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/05/2015:  13:33:13

I was playing guitar while my son plated mandolin. Toby climbed up next to Ethan and lay down on his lap while he played. He was sound asleep immediately and stayed there for an hour while we played.

Aww....nice pic,Bill. Toby loves the music, huh?

OM45GE - Posted - 12/05/2015:  17:13:16

He does - everything but the harmonica or melodica. Something about the metal reeds makes him howl.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/05/2015:  17:47:11

I used to get our Lab cross Kemo to howl when I played harmonica. He would just sit beside me and howl along with the music.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/05/2015:  18:04:09

That's what Toby does. I don't really know if he likes it or not. It might just bring out the wolf in him.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/05/2015:  18:07:06

Yeah, like some ancient vibration recall in their DNA. Ain't dogs a hoot..

OM45GE - Posted - 12/05/2015:  18:12:58

They sure are. I'm going to take the last walk of the evening with him now.

DeanT - Posted - 12/05/2015:  19:00:49

My dogs howl when I use a slide on my banjo

dmiller - Posted - 12/05/2015:  20:38:31

When I still lived back home in Indiana (mid 1970's) I knew a gal who played the bagpipes.  She would show up at a small park nearby my house and the IU football stadium to walk around as she played them.  Whenever she started playing - - there was a neighborhood dog that IMMEDIATELY materialized out of nowhere and he followed her the whole time she was there howling (singing??) along with her playing.

DeanT - Posted - 12/06/2015:  06:29:46

my neighbor's dog materializes on the golf course and chases golfers. Always entertaining

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/06/2015:  07:48:00

You guys are scarin' me with your materializing dogs

my dogs like to materialize in the bed in the middle of the night

OM45GE - Posted - 12/06/2015:  13:46:16

It's magic.

dmiller - Posted - 12/06/2015:  14:10:17

One of the clients there at the group home has a cat.  It hides away most of the day - - but when 4:30 - 5:00 pm rolls around she is right there under our feet and wanting her supper NOW.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/06/2015:  16:22:18

I spilled spot remover on Toby and haven't seen him in a week.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/06/2015:  17:22:12

Maybe he'll soon materialize

dmiller - Posted - 12/06/2015:  17:25:11

If he does materialize - - I hope OM45GE's Karma doesn't run over his dogma.  wink

OM45GE - Posted - 12/06/2015:  17:44:26

Lol.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/06/2015:  18:13:54

Speaking of Karmann Ghia (Volkswagen) and running into animals on the road  - - -

the lady who lives across the street from me had one of those VW Thing vehicles.

She was going up the Gunflint Trail in the Boundary Water  Canoe Area for a weekend

of camping, and ran into a moose.  Car was totaled/ she was in the hospital for weeks/

the moose walked away from it all.
