When I was about ten, some workers left a gallon of hydrochloric acid at the
house after they had done some concrete work. I found out it's kind of combustible
if you mix it with the just the right concentration of Clorox.
Adding Carbide to it really gets your mom's attention. ![]()

Cliff expounds his "Buffalo Theory" to Norm:
“Well, you see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it’s the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”

Maybe I should drink more beer. My brain is running pretty slow today.

north, northwest, about 400 miles more and we could be there, nothing personal, but I think I'll stop after 6 hours of driving instead of driving 6 and a half more

There's a really cool band playing tomorrow night in Newton Ks....
Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/07/2011: 13:15:21
I've got a bunch of concerts I want to go to the next couple of months but nothing this weekend. I'm sad.
DeanT - Posted - 10/07/2011: 16:33:59
Take cute guy to see the movie 50/50 (there is a greyhound in the movie)

I'm going to rip out the kitchen floor.
Boy....would that make a great introduction to strangers. ![]()
Anyway, need to replace some flooring, and put a new BARBECUE GRILL together. It was over $200......we talked the manager into $48
since it was being discontinued. It took two of us to load the box into the truck. I got tired of waiting for help today and
just picked it up in both arms and carried it 75 feet to the back patio.
I'm glad I didn't read the box before I man-handled the thing......"Caution! Two man lift! Contents weigh 90 pounds!"
My guts are still in place, but I have bruises on both arms. ![]()

I love buying huge crap at the store and having some big burly guy wrestle it into my car and then I get home and look at it and think, "Well, crap. Now what do I do?"
DeanT - Posted - 10/08/2011: 11:12:49
Give the BBG your number, and tell him to come by after work and move it for you.

Someone posted this picture on FB the other day and I reposted it:

The I got involved in a conversation with one of my friends about the most important part of the picture: those rank right up there on my list of sexiest arms ever.
I'm not really much interested in checking out posteriors. Although I do like a nice butt on a horse. But men? Give me sexy forearms and hands any day....

made it back from Arkansas, it was nice to not be under a burn ban, I enjoyed a campfire and some great scenery
dat - Posted - 10/11/2011: 08:44:32
Good to be back, I sure like going, but getting back home is great

Okay...it's going to rain, so I have to put the monster bbq together so the box it's in doesn't fall apart with the contents inside. I'm thinking a couple of wrenches and a screwdriver......an hour and a half. So in all likelihood it's going to be a laser of some kind and every Metric socket known to man.......and some stuff they carry on the space shuttle.....and five hours.

THROW AWAY THE INSTRUCTIONS, KEEP THE FRONT PAGE WITH THE PICTURE AND GET A PAIR OF VICE GRIPS AND A CRESSENT WRENCH, GOOD TO GO
flake - Posted - 10/11/2011: 12:53:25
I'm thinking about adapting my screwdriver bits to my power drill.........I know over-screwing(Ilove being able to say that) is a possibility, but I'm a lazy sh!t. My original intention was to put this thing together, kill Teri, and invite you all over for a BBQ on my property where bodies disintegrate. But if I kill her first, I won't have anyone to haul the cooler. ![]()
dat - Posted - 10/11/2011: 13:38:47
keep her around, a cooler hauler comes cheap, but somebody that knows just the right buttons to push to make you mad are few and far between
dat - Posted - 10/12/2011: 05:41:30
and get one of these sensorymetrics.com/wp-content/...ooler.jpg at least the self powered cooler anyway, or this model ridingcoolers.com/New-Image_yellow2.jpg
