That's what I'm doing in a couple of years- buy a motor home and travel around. Catch the BG Festivals and guitar camps,etc. plus I have family and friends scattered all over the place.

I've always heard that boats were s'posed to be named after wimminses, bad luck to name them after men for some reason

I don't know. My last sailboat was named Thalia and they do call them she or her. However, lots of Navy ships are named after men. There was a WWII Destroyer named The Cogswell after a relative of mine who was an Admiral.

That's a cool idea. This area is a huge snowmobile haven. I'm not into them myself, but I used to run a trucking company that hauled them into the dealers.

Thanks. I've seen lots of those. I meant in person. Lyle came to a great small venue near us with his acoustic band and put on a fabulous show. He gave credit to REK and I got my hopes up that he was there, but no.

There is a great venue about twenty minutes from my best friends place called Stone Mountain Arts Center (SMAC). It's a converted barn and very intimate, seats a couple hundred people. They bring in great acts. Bella Fleck has been there, Lyle and lots of others.

There are a few places within reasonable distance like SMAC but it's about the best. Plenty of the bar scenes too but I don't do those either.

My bar band finally called it quits last month. it was fun, lots of good times, but I'm glad it's over. 4 years was enough. It's nice to be home on Friday and Saturday nights.
