I don't.  I try, but my wheel just calls to me and suddenly the banjo is back in the case and my flier is spinning and I've got yarn.

Alaina - Posted - 11/12/2012:  11:21:43

It looks beautiful :)

DeanT - Posted - 11/12/2012:  11:47:04

What goes up, must come down, spinnin wheels, spinnin round,

Alaina - Posted - 11/12/2012:  11:48:50

Is that like the wheels on the bus?

I understand, since I clipped the end of my fingers on the tablesaw, I do a lot less picking.  it's healed over, but just doesn't feel right.

I do a lot more woodworking than picking now

Alaina - Posted - 11/12/2012:  12:18:05

What kind of stuff do you like to make?

dat - Posted - 11/12/2012:  13:00:49

pretty much what ever somebody wants, I don't have any new pictures, but I can post some old ones,  , cedar chests, boxes, chairs tables, cutting boards, cookbook stands, bed frames.  nothing real big like Tymburrs does, mine is more for fun

Alaina - Posted - 11/12/2012:  13:09:58

That is awesome!

dat - Posted - 11/12/2012:  13:12:48

I tried a picture, but it turned out great big huge on the screen with a red x,

Alaina - Posted - 11/12/2012:  13:29:47

Were you trying to post something inappropriate?

dat - Posted - 11/12/2012:  13:30:50

OM45GE - Posted - 11/12/2012:  15:58:07

He does beautiful work. I was going to have him make a coffee table to give for Christmas but the intended recipient said she didn't want one. disapprove There's no accounting for lack of taste!

flake - Posted - 11/12/2012:  21:27:30

Terri probably would like the blanket chest, but we'd have to shovel cats out of the way to have a place

to put it. ;-)

OM45GE - Posted - 11/13/2012:  04:24:56

They would just move to on top of it!

dat - Posted - 11/13/2012:  05:43:21

I could put a little cubby hole on the sides for cats.    actually the shipping would probably cost more than it would be worth.  if I have to order wood, it usually costs as much or more to get the boards here than the boards cost, then the finished product is even more bulky.

I was gonna order some maple for some cutting boards until I found some close enough to go pick up and the shipping on the boards was more than the boards cost.  on the other hand, If I was driving the truck, I couldn't ship it any cheaper. the fuel costs more than the product,

flake - Posted - 11/13/2012:  09:39:07

You could just send me some life sized pictures of it that I could tape to a cardboard box. Then I could let the cats scratch on it and cough up hairballs all over it.

After a few weeks, and a few rounds of cat puke, it would blend in nicely with the rest of the furniture. clown

OM45GE - Posted - 11/13/2012:  09:55:14

Why is it that we let our pets take over like that? We don't have cats but Toby the Springer Spaniel pretty much rules the house.

DeanT - Posted - 11/13/2012:  10:20:04

Pets don't live as long as we do, so they make up for it by being the boss of us when they are here.

This is how my entire house is decorated.

Alaina - Posted - 11/13/2012:  10:43:39

No offense, but that's why I don't have cats

flake - Posted - 11/13/2012:  10:57:47

I'm afraid if I tried to get rid of any of them they'd have me declared non compos mentis

and take my house.tongue

Watching on television at the moment, our coverage where I am will only be 67% eclipse in another 15 minutes....might get a bit darker for a while

dat - Posted - 11/13/2012:  13:05:35

as I watch this, I'm wondering where all the Beer, Crocodiles, and Kangaroos are.   all I see are folks on the beach a picture of the blocked off sun ball.

mbanjo - Posted - 11/13/2012:  13:09:16

All the beer is at my place, Kangaroos are sleeping, I stay far away from crocodiles

dat - Posted - 11/13/2012:  13:15:52

you sound like a smart man, I try to stay away from the aligators here

mbanjo - Posted - 11/13/2012:  13:18:29

How far away are you from the Gators?    I am about 2000 miles from the Crocs

dat - Posted - 11/13/2012:  13:24:09

the closest I've seen one is about 5 miles from the house,  but they don't get far from the water, I've seen a few in the Neches River and a few in the Angelina River, we don't see them unless we take the boat out,   Lake Livingston has some longer than my little boat, we've set and watched a few, even duck hunted wading where there are some, but never got any closer than about 4 or 5 feet from them

mbanjo - Posted - 11/13/2012:  14:02:21

That's way too close for me.............the closest I ever got to one, was a wallet.

We have got some other 'Nasties' such as Funnelweb Spiders and Redbacks and snakes to beware of.

dat - Posted - 11/13/2012:  14:11:56

We have black widow spiders and brown recluse spiders, copperheads, cottonmouths, rattlers and coral snakes, usually nothing to worry about though, they'll usually get out of your way if they have a chance.   the spiders can be a problem though
