I have all kinds of tequila stories... I just can't remember any of them
dat - Posted - 04/21/2016: 13:04:43
my first story ever was when me and a guy named Big Bob were matching shots, never match shots with anybody named "Big" anything
OM45GE - Posted - 04/21/2016: 13:22:03
My best friend kept bringing me shots of tequila at my 30th birthday party. The sneaky SOB was drinking water and having a lot of fun putting me under the table.

I'll say. At the time I owned a Jaguar XKE sports car. As I was doing technicolor yawns into the porcelain throne. he was outside yelling, "Sounds like a Jag reving up." Somehow we're still best friends.

You know, I never did anything. I chalked it up to fool me once, shame on you and didn't let him fool me twice.
We've known each other since grammar school and have been musical partners most of that time. We've been each other's best men and played at our other best friend's funeral together. It's been a wonderful friendship. Lots of water under that bridge.

Oh God, I don't want to unleash that on the women of New Hampshire!

after 4 hours you'll have to fess up and send him to the doctor

With his luck it would lead to a lucrative career as a porn star.

His wife is a very attractive woman and has an identical twin sister. I see a plot developing.
DeanT - Posted - 04/25/2016: 17:05:28
Wait a minute... he's married to an identical twin, and you haven't used that for a revenge joke yet? The possibilities are endless
OM45GE - Posted - 04/26/2016: 03:12:38
They actually have better opportunities. They are almost impossible to tell apart unless they dress differently and they get a lot of amusement out of your confusion.
dat - Posted - 04/26/2016: 06:12:26
glad I don't have a twin, I do enough stupid stuff on my own without someone else that can put the blame on me
DeanT - Posted - 04/26/2016: 10:17:03
if you have multiple personalities, you could be triplets or even more...
OM45GE - Posted - 04/26/2016: 11:54:03
It really is uncanny how much they look alike.
I used to have a secretary who was a mirror twin. I'd never heard of that before. She was left handed and her sister was right handed. They had identical moles on opposite sides of their faces. They both could write with either hand but the writing with the non-dominant hand was done backwards and in the opposite direction. It was pretty weird.
dat - Posted - 04/26/2016: 13:11:55
left handed pitchers always messed me up, I batted against a left handed side armed pitcher once, he got his strikes
OM45GE - Posted - 04/26/2016: 13:18:43
My son is a lefty and was a good pitcher in Little League, but he didn't really enjoy it. Music is his passion so he'll probably take after his shiftless dad.

Baseball was my second career choice, and I was a southpaw pitcher
But I was more into gear head mechanics, and the lure of working on Air Force jets was too much to pass up. No regrets, I had a great career.
dmiller - Posted - 04/26/2016: 22:37:28
I heard the reason why (once long ago), but I don't remember it now.
OM45GE - Posted - 04/27/2016: 03:26:42
Supposedly it was because baseball parks were aligned with the compass with first base facing south so a left handed pitcher used his south paw. That story has been discredited but I've never seen an alternative etymology.

I've heard that a good welder can fix anything from the crack of dawn to a broken heart
banjoscotty - Posted - 04/27/2016: 08:37:40
This is true but the broken heart usually belongs to the welder
Dat,,do you still have the same dogs?

I've run out of duck dogs, after the last lab I just haven't jumped back in, we do have a mutt / lab/ cur/ mix that is the neighbors dog from down the road that lives on our porch, and a lab that lives a little farther down the road that has adopted us too, they both sleep on our porch but we don't have to feed them or have vet bills, pretty good choice for dogs
dat - Posted - 04/27/2016: 10:20:32
my bride and I spend a lot of time outside, some yard work, some porch sitting, the lab's owners work odd hours, their kids graduated and moved away from home, so nobody is there until late, so he comes over for company, the neighbors lab/ cur mix he got from the pound as a puppy then he got laid off and got a job working out of town, 4 weeks out then 4 weeks at home, his bride had a baby about the same time, so she wasn't ever outside much, so the puppy wandered over to our house too, now he is grown and still pretty much lives at our house, he goes home to eat then comes back and sleeps on our porch.
I believe it's just because somebody is there
banjoscotty - Posted - 04/27/2016: 10:51:59
That's cool for them,,,they have a home away from home and you like

dat - Posted - 04/27/2016: 13:12:50
