I don't think it would work on my flip phone

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 05/29/2015:  20:39:17

Probably not.

OM45GE - Posted - 05/30/2015:  03:27:56

No, probably not.

DeanT - Posted - 05/30/2015:  05:39:22

but my wife watches our security camera on her smart phone, does that count?

OM45GE - Posted - 05/30/2015:  06:16:31

Sounds pretty tech savvy to me.

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/30/2015:  06:41:42

I see they're advertising that feature now. I wonder how many more calls the local police are getting now to check on people's houses cuz they see something suspicious on their smart phones.

I just don't own anything worth stealing.  Except for my laptops.  I keep those in my sock drawer so no one will find them.

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/30/2015:  13:19:50

Oohhh.....we will now!......lol

DeanT - Posted - 05/30/2015:  14:23:19

It's fun watching what the dogs do when we are gone

OM45GE - Posted - 05/30/2015:  19:09:28

I think Toby has been drinking my Scotch. It's certainly been going down faster than expected.

DeanT - Posted - 05/30/2015:  19:50:29

definitely time for a surveillance camera

dmiller - Posted - 05/30/2015:  20:01:30

I used to have bottles of Kentucky bourbon that disappeared way too fast also.

DeanT - Posted - 05/30/2015:  20:02:54

darn dogs and cats...

OM45GE - Posted - 05/31/2015:  09:08:46

He's also spending money like a drunken sailor, judging from the cash situation.

DeanT - Posted - 05/31/2015:  18:57:54

time to take away the smart phone and credit cards

chuckv97 - Posted - 05/31/2015:  19:13:46

And no more opening the window when he comes along for a car ride

DeanT - Posted - 05/31/2015:  22:20:08

Our car has dog slobber all down the sides

OM45GE - Posted - 06/01/2015:  03:50:07

Time to take the keys away from the dogs.

DeanT - Posted - 06/01/2015:  05:33:30

or send them to the car wash

dat - Posted - 06/01/2015:  08:54:31

Bad thing about sending the dogs to the car wash, they usually go to the meat market and spend the money there instead of washing the car

DeanT - Posted - 06/01/2015:  10:24:09

our dogs go through the drive up window of the burger joints and ask for ice cream

OM45GE - Posted - 06/01/2015:  14:57:22

On of the local gas stations gives Milk Bones to dogs. Toby recognizes the place when we're on our walks and goes over for a freebie.

DeanT - Posted - 06/01/2015:  17:25:25

one of our local burger joints give milk bones through the drive up... the pups go nuts when we go there

OM45GE - Posted - 06/01/2015:  18:39:47

Our mailman carries Milk Bones for the dogs on his route. I buy him a box every couple of weeks.

DeanT - Posted - 06/01/2015:  22:12:04

So does ours! He said to never tell on him, as it's against the USPS policies

OM45GE - Posted - 06/02/2015:  03:43:29

I didn't know it was against policy.

DeanT - Posted - 06/02/2015:  05:31:56

that's what he told us. It makes the dogs overly excited to see mailmen. Whatever

dat - Posted - 06/02/2015:  14:43:21

better to be excited than to chase them off

DeanT - Posted - 06/02/2015:  14:51:54

our mailman is a dog lover, and our dogs are mailman lovers

OM45GE - Posted - 06/02/2015:  15:27:11

Bob is a real nice guy. The neighbors have a Wheaton Terrier who is pretty aggressive. He took Bib down and bit him pretty bad.

DeanT - Posted - 06/02/2015:  18:40:15

Police report right there!dead

OM45GE - Posted - 06/03/2015:  04:01:21

Yep, the cops showed up. I was surprised they didn't put the dog down. The mail used to get delivered to the front door but the Post Office made them put a mailbox at the street so Bob doesn't have to go on the property any more.

dat - Posted - 06/03/2015:  05:48:02

a guy that works here had to have his dog put down cause it bit,  it wasn't a mean dog, but it was protective if someone he didn't know came around and his owner wasn't.   he had a choice of putting the dog down or getting an insurance policy on the dog and keeping the dog on a leash any time it was outside,  even in the yard.   I don't remember the amount of the insurance required, but he couldn't afford it

OM45GE - Posted - 06/03/2015:  05:57:18

This family owns one of the largest Honda, Chevy, Kia, Nissan and Volkswagen dealerships in the area. Money isn't an issue.

This dog is the same way. He's very protective of the family. When he bit the mailman, their two year old twins were playing in the yard and there were carpenters there as well. Bob came into the yard and Shamus struck.

DeanT - Posted - 06/03/2015:  05:58:02

even in a fenced yard? wow...

dat - Posted - 06/03/2015:  07:31:59

yeah, they pretty much had to have him on a leash and someone be with him at all times or inside or the city would impound on sight,   I figured a fenced yard would have been ok, but it wasn't good enough for the judge

OM45GE - Posted - 06/03/2015:  08:06:57

Some jurisdictions don't see a fenced yard as meaning the dog is under control.

dat - Posted - 06/03/2015:  08:27:56

it might depend on the fence too,   I don't know what kind of fence he has around his yard

DeanT - Posted - 06/03/2015:  11:01:15

around here, vicious dogs inside a fence are the whole idea

chuckv97 - Posted - 06/03/2015:  11:53:16

And just to your north at Leavenworth are vicious people behind fences

DeanT - Posted - 06/03/2015:  12:10:32

because they got caught breaking into houses that didn't have vicious dogs!

dat - Posted - 06/03/2015:  14:20:07

I've always believed a good dog would deter a thief,  a better dog will bite one

DeanT - Posted - 06/03/2015:  16:06:36

America's most wanted did a show about thief deterrents, and they said dogs are #1

dmiller - Posted - 06/03/2015:  20:36:22

That's the truth if I ever heard it.  Their senses are on "alert", even when they sleep.

DeanT - Posted - 06/03/2015:  21:58:52

it's fun having multiple dogs, when one alerts, they all go nuts

dat - Posted - 06/04/2015:  09:43:40

even if it's the neighbors dog a mile down the road

DeanT - Posted - 06/04/2015:  09:53:38

in the middle of the night...

dat - Posted - 06/04/2015:  10:33:56

when a leaf falls from a tree

DeanT - Posted - 06/04/2015:  11:02:54

and lands in the gutter

dat - Posted - 06/04/2015:  13:54:38

OK, now it makes sense,  the leaf falls in the gutter and scares a spider, the spider barks and stirs up the dogs,   dang those barking spiders
