The secret is slinging the banjo real low like an electric guitar.

dat - Posted - 12/04/2014:  07:08:27

Yeah, same as with an accordian, instant chick magnet

DeanT - Posted - 12/04/2014:  10:32:30

It all in what you do with your tongue, as you play.

DeanT - Posted - 12/10/2014:  05:52:00

My cute kids turned 30 and 26 this year. Time. Where did it all go?

dat - Posted - 12/10/2014:  05:55:14

Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping, into the future

OM45GE - Posted - 12/10/2014:  06:42:42

My son just turned 14 Monday. It seems like yesterday that I was bringing him home from the hospital.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/10/2014:  08:01:59

I still call my 2 daughters "Sweetie" and "Kiddo" ,and they're 30 and28 years old. To me, they'll always be little cute rugrats. lol

OM45GE - Posted - 12/10/2014:  10:32:22

Isn't it the truth?

DeanT - Posted - 12/10/2014:  12:14:53

grandbabys are the new cute rugrats...

dat - Posted - 12/10/2014:  12:32:02

I need to figure out a way to put up some pictures of our grand baby,  everybody takes pictures with their phone, my phone doesn't get pictures.   my bride printed some off on paper for me but that doesn't get them in my computer.

hard to find film for our poloroid

OM45GE - Posted - 12/10/2014:  14:56:33

I bet. I thought I remembered seeing some at Walmart. They still carry 35 mm film.

DeanT - Posted - 12/10/2014:  15:28:33

Wow, I thought I was out of date with a 10 year old flip phone... but it does take pictures.

dat - Posted - 12/10/2014:  15:32:05

I did get a cell phone almost a year ago, no pictures on it though,   I even learned to text not long ago, I kinda like that, you can get to the point without having to talk

DeanT - Posted - 12/10/2014:  18:09:57

I still haven't done the texting thing!

dmiller - Posted - 12/10/2014:  20:05:54

I don't text either, but I can see where it'd be handy at times.  My co-workers (all young enough to be my kids and some my grand-kids) text more than they talk on their phones.  It's a pet peeve of mine when they refuse to answer a phone call and when it's me doing the calling.  My number has to show up on their screen when I call (right?), and I never call unless it's about work.  I've told them time and again to answer (by voice) if they see it's me on the other end.

I guess I'm still old school.  Phones are for talking on.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/10/2014:  20:16:44

I text my kids, and the odd friend(yeah, odd,,so I won't have to actually talk to him)

DeanT - Posted - 12/10/2014:  22:23:24

I might text if I had a bigger phone with a keyboard.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/11/2014:  03:07:29

I text quite a bit. People can answer when they are able (you can too), you can include pictures and you have a record of the conversation.

DeanT - Posted - 12/13/2014:  10:49:39

I tell people to just send a note to my FB account. Much better chance I'll answer it.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/13/2014:  11:43:01

My only problem with Facebook is all the crap that my family and some friends post on it. I'd filter them out but am afraid I'd miss something important.

DeanT - Posted - 12/13/2014:  12:20:17

I use the messenger more than reading the news feed. The news feed is like "whatever" but If something is really important, message me.

OM45GE - Posted - 12/13/2014:  12:22:40

I use messenger too, but still do most of my texting on my iPhone.

DeanT - Posted - 12/13/2014:  15:01:22

My phone is too small, I can barely see it!

OM45GE - Posted - 12/14/2014:  15:05:20

Is it small or is your eyesight getting worse?

DeanT - Posted - 12/14/2014:  17:29:06

Both, it's an old flip phone, and my eyes suck!

dmiller - Posted - 12/14/2014:  19:54:43

Mine is an old small flip phone too.

It was "state of the art" when I got it.

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/14/2014:  22:08:47

I've got a cheap $40 flip phone. The sound is poor when listening to someone on the other end,,kind of muffled,,but it does the job. I can read the emails..and send photos. Got a North American plan for $115 per month,,texts after are 15 cents each after the first five.

DeanT - Posted - 12/14/2014:  22:21:28

I can play pac-man on mine

OM45GE - Posted - 12/15/2014:  06:47:25

I held out with an old flip phone and finally went with an iPhone. Now I wouldn't go back.

DeanT - Posted - 12/15/2014:  10:20:25

My wife has one. Every time I touch it I hit wrong buttons and fluck everything up

OM45GE - Posted - 12/15/2014:  14:06:44

I find it easier to use than the old flip phone.

DeanT - Posted - 12/15/2014:  15:22:10

I miss the touch tone phone that hung on the wall!

chuckv97 - Posted - 12/15/2014:  21:16:30

My friend lived in the country- they had a party line,so everybody listened in to hear the local news and scandals.

DeanT - Posted - 12/15/2014:  22:22:02

I grew up with a party line to, and a rotary phone

OM45GE - Posted - 12/16/2014:  05:20:47

We had a Rotary phone in the kitchen. My dad was a lawyer so we had a private line, but most of the neighbors had party lines.

DeanT - Posted - 12/16/2014:  05:50:57

back then all phones were either white or black
