I need to figure out a way to put up some pictures of our grand baby,  everybody takes pictures with their phone, my phone doesn't get pictures.   my bride printed some off on paper for me but that doesn't get them in my computer.

I did get a cell phone almost a year ago, no pictures on it though,   I even learned to text not long ago, I kinda like that, you can get to the point without having to talk

I don't text either, but I can see where it'd be handy at times.  My co-workers (all young enough to be my kids and some my grand-kids) text more than they talk on their phones.  It's a pet peeve of mine when they refuse to answer a phone call and when it's me doing the calling.  My number has to show up on their screen when I call (right?), and I never call unless it's about work.  I've told them time and again to answer (by voice) if they see it's me on the other end.  



I guess I'm still old school.  Phones are for talking on.

I text quite a bit. People can answer when they are able (you can too), you can include pictures and you have a record of the conversation.

My only problem with Facebook is all the crap that my family and some friends post on it. I'd filter them out but am afraid I'd miss something important.

I use the messenger more than reading the news feed. The news feed is like "whatever" but If something is really important, message me.

I've got a cheap $40 flip phone. The sound is poor when listening to someone on the other end,,kind of muffled,,but it does the job. I can read the emails..and send photos. Got a North American plan for $115 per month,,texts after are 15 cents each after the first five.

My friend lived in the country- they had a party line,so everybody listened in to hear the local news and scandals.

We had a Rotary phone in the kitchen. My dad was a lawyer so we had a private line, but most of the neighbors had party lines.
