Jeans for me. Sweats when driving long trips. Collared shirts, usually.

I could eat spaghetti every day of the week, or at least something with a tomato sauce
dat - Posted - 02/19/2015: 09:47:20
I like a lot of sauce on a pizza too, lots of places just have enough for color
chuckv97 - Posted - 02/19/2015: 09:50:15
Yeah, they just "paint" a thin layer on with the back of their big spoon

we went to pizza hut a couple of months ago for lunch, I heard the buffet was ok, they didn't have but one pizza flavor with tomato sauce, they had a bbq pizza, a chicken/ pineapple white sauce pizza, a spinich alfrado pizza and something else that I didn't recognize,

I haven't been to pizza hut in years. We have a few mom & pop pizza joints that blow them away. The first pizza hut ever in the universe was a mile from my house. It's a vacant lot now

I'm not a big Pizza Hut fan either. We've got lots of small shops that have much better pizzas.
dat - Posted - 02/20/2015: 11:37:30
not many pizza places here, we normally make our own, pizza hut was just a lunch stop at work after not having any leftovers from home to bring, sure isn't a first choice

We've got a local chain called Bertucci's. They've spread out as far as Washington DC. They cook the pizzas in a big wood fired oven and it's wonderful. We just went tonight. I had one they call the Sporkie (whatever the hell that means) with sweet sausage, ricotta cheese, sauce and mozzarella. There are a couple of slices in the fridge for lunch tomorrow.

The US is going bacon crazy, no pigs are safe, not even Arnold
chuckv97 - Posted - 02/22/2015: 07:12:09
I was walking in the dark last year at the back of a pork slaughterhouse plant, looking for the shipping office. I noticed this mound of something up ahead - when I got close it was a dead pig ! Aarrgghh. I guess it fell out of the bucket of the front end loader- there were dumpsters nearby full of expired porkies. Enjoy your bacon breakfast ,folks.....

I worked for a woman one year who bred appaloosa horses. She only had two mares in foal that year and one of them miscarried about two weeks before she was due. We'd just had a big snowstorm so the truck hadn't been able to get out to empty her dumpster. I got to work and discovered this huge trail of dried blood down the barn aisle and the dead foal just laying in a snow bank outside the barn. It was there a good week before things thawed out enough that she could get rid of it.

I was coming back from a long road trip and started smelling something rotten. It got stronger as I drove on. Eventually I overtook a dump trailer filled to the brim with bloated cow carcasses. It was from a rendering house. That's one driving job I would not want.
DeanT - Posted - 02/22/2015: 17:33:20
My neighbor did that before he retired. He came home smelling to high heaven. Our dogs loved him...
chuckv97 - Posted - 02/22/2015: 17:55:58
There was a rendering plant near where I once lived. One of their truck drivers threw some of his clothes along with some of his urine and feces in the grinding dump where they dump their carcasses ,on the night shift with no one around. He then went out west and changed his name with fake ID ,and his wife tried to collect his life insurance. It took months of investigation but they somehow got wind of the scam and denied her the insurance pay out.

I wish I'd been born rich instead of so darn good looking and talented. ![]()

I wish I had been born rich, good looking and talented instead of just lucky every once in a while

maybe my bride will buy a ticket, she ends up with all my money anyway
DeanT - Posted - 02/24/2015: 22:38:28
My lovely bride buys lotto tickets every now and then. So far, no luck...
dat - Posted - 02/25/2015: 08:33:25
every once in a while we will buy one when on a road trip, which is a lot less often now than it used to be, road trips that is, well the buying of tickets has helped pay for the printing cause we sure didn't win anything
