That's what I'm saying. Roxy and I are practically next door to each other.

banjoscotty - Posted - 06/26/2014:  03:57:23

WOW!! But a 60 mile wide door is pretty darn big!!
EVEN IN TEXAS!!!!!

OM45GE - Posted - 06/26/2014:  03:58:58

For Last Word it's just a hop, skip and a jump.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/26/2014:  04:05:04

Well, you'll have to walk cause you don't have the last word.  smiley

OM45GE - Posted - 06/26/2014:  04:33:58

Let's not be too hasty.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/26/2014:  17:13:19

BAM, back to G'ville.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/26/2014:  17:54:16

Did you enjoy your 40 minutes with LW?

ErikH - Posted - 06/27/2014:  03:45:07

The LW promised to drop by and help me with some yard work today.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/27/2014:  03:50:03

He did? We'll see about that.

banjoscotty - Posted - 06/27/2014:  03:50:04

Isn't that called child labor?

ErikH - Posted - 06/27/2014:  04:00:00

I had no idea the LW didn't have a work permit.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/27/2014:  05:05:03

That excuse won't hold up in court.

chuckv97 - Posted - 06/27/2014:  14:51:30

Canada welcomes LW ,no problem, and no work permit required

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/27/2014:  16:36:13

Nope! Rejected at the border and returned to it's rightful home.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/27/2014:  17:48:50

Yes, Massachusetts.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/28/2014:  13:03:41

Wrong!! Back to the really hot and humid sunshine state.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/28/2014:  13:07:01

Sunny and warm with low humidity here. LW is enjoying it.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/28/2014:  13:12:08

Your delusional. LW and Florida go to together like orange and juice.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/28/2014:  13:15:02

Look behind you! That's a life sized photo of Last Word left to keep you company.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/28/2014:  13:18:10

That sound you just heard was the last word leaving Andover.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/28/2014:  13:21:58

He just keeps coming back, over and over and over and over...Andover

ErikH - Posted - 06/30/2014:  02:15:33

Grounded on account of storms in Illinois.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/30/2014:  02:57:38

Clear skies here.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/30/2014:  03:54:14

Last word here.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/30/2014:  03:57:14

'Morning Richard. Last Word says hey.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/30/2014:  04:28:59

Morning Bill.

OM45GE - Posted - 06/30/2014:  05:11:05

Tropical storm brewing off the coast? Perhaps Last Word should stay up here.

TheLastWord - Posted - 06/30/2014:  18:33:13

Sorry, LW left long ago and is now in Florida.

ErikH - Posted - 07/01/2014:  02:25:00

The storms have passed.  Safe for LW to return to Illinois.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/01/2014:  03:35:18

We have a couple of days of calm before the storms.

TheLastWord - Posted - 07/01/2014:  03:54:59

No storms down here. Just continued hot, humid, with little to no breeze.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/01/2014:  03:59:33

The weather reporters up here are talking about a tropical storm off Miami. Is that too far away to effect you?

TheLastWord - Posted - 07/01/2014:  04:07:30

We'll probably get rain and wind, but that's it.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/01/2014:  04:09:00

They're saying the same for us but at the end of the week.

TheLastWord - Posted - 07/01/2014:  04:30:55

Well, the forecast for rain has us a 30% today, 50% tomorrow. That's normal for this time of the year.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/01/2014:  05:04:09

I guess that's why LW is up here!

ErikH - Posted - 07/01/2014:  16:32:53

We had like two inches fall in about an hour and a half last night.  The storm sewers were so charges some of the manhole covers popped off.

TheLastWord - Posted - 07/01/2014:  17:14:37

I've seen that a few times. It's still amazing considering how heavy they are.

ErikH - Posted - 07/01/2014:  17:16:05

I've seen it rain like that a couple of times, too.  Funny, too, all that rain and the sump pump in my basement didn't go off once.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/01/2014:  17:43:16

Maybe is was so fast and hard it just ran off before it saturated the ground.

ErikH - Posted - 07/02/2014:  02:16:39

Pretty sure that was exactly what happened.  It all ran into the streets and storm sewers.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/02/2014:  02:43:30

My last house was an old Victorian with a stone foundation. A few days of steady rain or in the spring snow melt used to create a running stream through the basement. We had a so called "French Drain" in one corner of the basement and the water ran across from the other side and out. We kept everything on shelves and pallets. It was completely dry at other times.

janolov - Posted - 07/02/2014:  05:41:17

Why didn't you put an unbrella over the house?

OM45GE - Posted - 07/02/2014:  06:00:20

Dang, why didn't I think of that?

TheLastWord - Posted - 07/02/2014:  16:51:57

Some high wind and you'll be flying.

ErikH - Posted - 07/02/2014:  16:52:32

The only time I get water in the basement is if I fail to clean the spring maple seeds or the fall leaves out of my gutters.  If I don't keep the downspouts clear, one of the gutters overflows into the window well and into the basement.

janolov - Posted - 07/03/2014:  02:49:21

I have a pump in my basement.

TheLastWord - Posted - 07/03/2014:  03:54:45

In Florida, we call basements pools due to the high water table.

OM45GE - Posted - 07/03/2014:  04:09:01

Where we are now has no problem with flooding except for the pipe that sprung a leak a few weeks ago. What a mess.

ErikH - Posted - 07/03/2014:  06:04:14

I have a pump, but it rarely runs.  I'm not sure why, I don't get much groundwater in the sump, but I'm not complaining.  A couple of years ago we lost power during a storm, and the people three doors down had  a couple of inches of water in the basement.  The water didn't even get to the top of the pit at my house.
