It would have to be a long shovel......the last word is here with me enjoying the last of the summer.

ErikH - Posted - 02/27/2013:  02:29:37

The last word sat in the kitchen with my wife, while I manned the snow blower.

banjoscotty - Posted - 02/27/2013:  03:43:25

Eric,,they shouldn't be sitting in there like that.Try this.
Put your wife on snow blower and you stay with last word
inside where it's warm.HA,,HA,,

OM45GE - Posted - 02/27/2013:  04:39:34

Scotty knows what he's talking about for sure!

ErikH - Posted - 02/27/2013:  14:54:22

I have a feeling it wouldn't be warm inside for very long.

OM45GE - Posted - 02/28/2013:  02:34:53

You think your wife wouldn't put up with it?

banjoscotty - Posted - 02/28/2013:  11:35:17

Hey,,I've got a better idea. Put last word on blower
then you and wife can stay inside together

OM45GE - Posted - 02/28/2013:  11:45:36

This I've got to see.

hexx - Posted - 02/28/2013:  12:11:19

OM45GE - Posted - 02/28/2013:  14:07:20

I can say that I have the Last Word

mbanjo - Posted - 02/28/2013:  21:29:47

You can say it..............but it ain't true,... cause I have it

hexx - Posted - 03/01/2013:  01:01:58

ErikH - Posted - 03/01/2013:  02:19:02

The sun is not up here yet.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/01/2013:  03:18:59

It just came up here.

banjoscotty - Posted - 03/01/2013:  06:14:36

No sun here for awhile

OM45GE - Posted - 03/01/2013:  06:20:56

Actually, I was assuming the sun had come up because it got bright out but you can't see it for all the clouds.

hexx - Posted - 03/01/2013:  09:30:37

moon reflects on last word, says its cool

mbanjo - Posted - 03/01/2013:  12:22:18

Cloudy here too...

ErikH - Posted - 03/01/2013:  14:59:18

Here, too.  More snow flurries.

TheLastWord - Posted - 03/02/2013:  03:34:43

Look what I found....the last word.

ErikH - Posted - 03/02/2013:  05:18:01

Funny how it keeps popping up.

mbanjo - Posted - 03/02/2013:  17:17:18

It has a mind of its own

ErikH - Posted - 03/03/2013:  05:44:14

See?  There it is again!

OM45GE - Posted - 03/04/2013:  04:12:59

Oh yeah, right here!

banjoscotty - Posted - 03/04/2013:  05:15:18

Does he get free air miles?

OM45GE - Posted - 03/04/2013:  09:56:52

I think he's got his own private jet.

banjoscotty - Posted - 03/04/2013:  12:43:52

They don't have any jets where I come from.
To many hills,,,no room to land them.

ErikH - Posted - 03/04/2013:  14:42:22

What about sinkholes?

mbanjo - Posted - 03/04/2013:  19:55:55

Maybe the whole of Florida could disapear.........?

ErikH - Posted - 03/05/2013:  02:29:03

More oceanfront property in Georgia and Alabama?

OM45GE - Posted - 03/05/2013:  04:50:40

The Last Word finds the thought of the earth opening up underneath it and swallowing it up profoundly disturbing. I tried to explain that the chances of this happening were extremely remote but the Last Word is inconsolable and has decided to stay here with me in Andover where the granite ledge our house was built on make sinkholes unlikely.

banjoscotty - Posted - 03/05/2013:  07:58:10

Sorry I misled ya'll. I'm originally from southern Ohio.
Very large hills.Scaggs can tell you about that too.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/05/2013:  09:18:00

Do they have sink holes?

mbanjo - Posted - 03/05/2013:  13:38:33

If Ohio sunk into a sinkhole....lake Erie would be awful big.

ErikH - Posted - 03/05/2013:  15:41:01

I've never really seen much of Ohio except for Cincinnatti.  I've been to and camped in Eastern Kentucky, though, so I can picture what Southern Ohio must be like.

mbanjo - Posted - 03/05/2013:  20:34:53

Any sinkholes in kentucky?........ I read somewhere that they have the longest cave systems there...........has to be a sinkhole or two.

dmiller - Posted - 03/05/2013:  21:43:37

They have one in Kentucky called Mammoth Cave(in)

dmiller - Posted - 03/05/2013:  21:45:22

Mammoth Cave isn't to far from Arthur Hatfield's house.

mbanjo - Posted - 03/06/2013:  00:02:01

I hope arthur checks the solidity of his floor just to be on the safe side

ErikH - Posted - 03/06/2013:  02:30:35

Mammoth cave is in central Kentucky.  That would be closer to southern Indiana rather than Ohio.  I hope to visit there some day, too.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/06/2013:  04:58:06

There are only six US states that I haven't visited yet. I would love to just get in the car and tour the country for a couple of years. It's rally quite magniicent.

Alaina - Posted - 03/06/2013:  08:47:54

I want to travel again too...

mbanjo - Posted - 03/06/2013:  12:07:49

How safe is travelling in the US?.........I am planning a trip in a couple of years time

OM45GE - Posted - 03/06/2013:  16:26:42

I would say it's extremely safe outside of a few really bad areas. You just need to use common sense.

mbanjo - Posted - 03/06/2013:  19:28:03

Where are the really bad areas you mentioned? ....are there certain towns and cities to stay clear of.......or just certain neighbourhoods?

Edited by - mbanjo on 03/06/2013 19:34:02

ErikH - Posted - 03/07/2013:  02:22:02

Mostly neighborhoods in the larger cities.  In Chicago, for example, you would generally want to avoid the west side and the south side,  Some of the neighborhoods change quickly too; you can be in a perfectly safe place and travel two blocks and be taking your life into your hands.

OM45GE - Posted - 03/07/2013:  02:41:08

Just what Erik said. Any city of decent size will have it's bad neighborhoods and god and bad may be a difference of a street or two's walk. Check with the tourist offices if you're visiting a particular city and they can help you out. Most of the country you can drive around in, visit the sights and have a grand time. You shouldn't do stuff like leave the car unlocked or make it obvious that it's filled with expensive stuff.

DON'T trust the Last Word though! He's a fickle SOB with no apparent loyalty at all.

mbanjo - Posted - 03/07/2013:  12:41:43

Sounds pretty much like it is here in Sydney and Melbourne...I lived in Sydney for a while but these days I only go there when it is absolutely necessary.................the rest of the country is ok though as long as you stay clear of Aussies:-)

OM45GE - Posted - 03/07/2013:  12:54:10

We had a good friend who lived in Sydney and we used to visit fairly regularly. He kept us out of the truly bad areas but we walked all over and never had any trouble.

mbanjo - Posted - 03/07/2013:  13:19:55

There are a lot of drug related gang shootings going on at the moment.......even in perfectly normal suburbs..seems to be biker gangs antagonising each other.
