Have you heard of Bramley apples?..they have them over here you have to bake pie with brown sugar,,otherwise you get a bitter tart taste. the sugar compliments the sourness, really delicious slices !..

Bramley's are yummy. I like a nice sharp cheddar cheese with a hot slice of apple pie. I may have to bake one later.

good to do,,well anyway the apples are best peeled, and then immediately placed in the pie pastry and covered, ,,else I've found they quickly go off?.a brown color.

I like to mix them with the sugar a splash of lemon and a little flour and let them sit in a bowl for a couple hours before they go in the crust.

how observant ! i meant to explain the 3 legs.....the artist who did this portarit has only 1 eye, therefore the back legs merged into one....i think.

When I first looked at it, I thought it was a fat Manx with a stripe down it's back. Then upon looking closer, I realized it was a long tail held over the back.
