The WIldcats have a really good marching band. Ethan wants to go to a school with a strong band program. A lot of them give great scholarships to good musicians. I'm not counting on it, but it would be nice.

Bill,,I didn't give enough info.It wasn't N.U.,,,It was Northwestern High School,(Warriors),Springfield,Ohio
near North Hampton. Sorry about that but it's still good for the soul..Good luck to your son,,,,,,,,,

Thanks Bill. That's the first I've seen of them since I graduated and moved to Fla in 1958.I was lucky to get in on the "ground floor" when our NEW high school came into existance in 1955 when Clark County was divided into
4 sections for education purposes. there was Northeastern,Southeastern,Tecumseh, and Northwestern. These were
all county systems. There were other school systems in the cities, but that had nothing to do with our county system. Northwestern got major re-construction last year when they tore down EVERYTHING and built new up to date facilities.Would like to go to a class reunion sometime. Thanks again for video.

My pleasure. My high school class (1970) was the first to go four years at a new regional school too. I was into rock and roll and never did school band. After seeing how good it's been for Ethan I wish I had.

Ya know,,,even more than the music and all the fanfare ect. I really LOVED our
drum section. If I remember there were 6 drummers and 3 bass drums. They could
lay down a cadance that would make you cry. And the whistle signals,,,,,OH those
memories. Tell Ethan to give it his best,,all the way. He'll be glad he did. While watching the
video,I noticed,,(or couldn't hear) much drum cadance?? I don't know,,maybe the drums were
keeping with the topic/program. But it was good,,,
OM45GE - Posted - 11/04/2015: 10:04:01
I'm with you on the drums. Our playing field is about 1/2 mile from the band room and the band marches to and from games with the drum line keeping cadence. I usually walk along with them toting some band equipment. It's almost my favorite part of the whole evening. The band is at attention with instruments at present arms and it's just so cool.

You have to start when you're 18 and work every day of your
life untill you're 64 years old.

My other guv'mnt pension will pay me $775 per month once I get tired and take this job and shove it. Then I've got some retirement savings to buy a Granada (not). ✌
