There is a small pad like piece of flesh in the (palm) of the chickens foot.
My Grandma used that for some of her home remidy meds.

I had a standing offer from an older gentleman to take me up in his single engine plane. I never took him up on it, and a few years later he died from injuries he sustained from crashing right after takeoff.
