My son-in-law, who is not a toker, has a brain tumour and gets cannibis oil with the THC from Vancouver. Some people have had their tumours disappear by using it.

Medical marijuana has been legal here for a while. They just legalized recreational use. You can possess up to an ounce outside the home and 10 ounces at home.

At least people don't puke from it like they do from drinking whisky.
But,,,anything is ok as long as the state gets it's tax from it,,,,,,,,,,,
OM45GE - Posted - 12/13/2016: 04:50:40
True. The only problem is that they haven't figured out the sale and tax part of it. It's legal to own and use as of Thursday but not legal to sell. I heard one report that it could take them a year or more to work out the sale part of it.

It should be good for some med patients but I can do without it
chuckv97 - Posted - 12/13/2016: 11:59:11
On the news up here this morning they said it could be up to a $2.6 billion industry.
OM45GE - Posted - 12/13/2016: 14:05:38
I used to enjoy it but haven't done it in years. It won't make any difference to me if it's legal or not.

Last Word has been drinking a lot of beer. He thinks it will make him smarter ever since he heard Anheuser-Busch made Bud wiser.
chuckv97 - Posted - 12/14/2016: 05:40:57
Maybe so, but the beer that made Milwaukee famous made a fool out of me
OM45GE - Posted - 12/17/2016: 12:39:44
It might not fetch that much but I probably wouldn't sell it for less at this point.

Those Golden Crosses are pricy. I should've bought that Stelling Whitestar for $1850 at Intermountain Guitar and Banjo in Salt LC last year. They're plain but have good hardware.
OM45GE - Posted - 12/17/2016: 12:51:40
It's a great banjo and real eye candy. Sadly, I don't play it much anymore.
chuckv97 - Posted - 12/17/2016: 13:21:08
I've been neglecting the guitar the past 2 years. Trying to get some chops back this week and it's humiliating and frustrating...slowly but surely ,I guess.

There is a guitar jam and a song circle in Calgary, but haven't checked them out yet. I'v just been going to bluegrass jams.

My lady friend and I (The Taylor Creek Duet) keep plenty busy around Stuart
and Port Saint Lucie doing small venues. HAHA,,and they pay us.,There are some
jams and open mics here also. People are here from all over the USA thus
the many different kinds of music.

My retirement income...? Maybe, if my arthuritis doesn't get worse from busking in front of the local liquor store
chuckv97 - Posted - 12/18/2016: 19:05:09
Just kidding actually,, but years ago I did that on the west coast. Christmas time was a bonanza. My last gig was on my classical guitar in a restaurant about 15 years ago.
OM45GE - Posted - 12/19/2016: 03:29:36
I still play out occasionally but stopped regular gigging when my son was born 16 years ago. Too busy and too tired. I'd like to start in again, especially when he goes off to college and I retire.

There are tens of dollars to be made playing bluegrass music.
