Trip was great.50 miles from nowhere right in the middle of 6000 acres of friends grain farm.
For as far as you could see is wheat,barley,mustard, and sugar beets.and the Red River running
down eastern side of his neighbors land.Neighbor lives 37 miles to the east.On the land that is to
hilly to farm they graze cattle.I never seen anything like it.Only thing is it gets in the 20's below
zero in winter.BUUUURR!!!

There's a town in North Dakota named "Cogswell" after someone in my family. There's around 100 residents. Interestingly, I used to run a trucking company owned by a guy named Heaton and there is a Heaton North Dakota. It had residents a few years ago but is now a ghost town. Both are the only towns named after our families that we know of.

I've heard it is lovely. The Dakotas are two of about six states I've never been to. I would like to get out there, but not in winter!
