Notes: "The Merry Minuet" was a very popular tune fort the Kingston Trio during the 'folk scare' in the 1960s. I learned a bunch of KT tunes back then. It was a pleasant surprise when a BHO member requested tab for this tune some 60 years later. Sadly, the threat of nuclear war is still with us. And so is the power of protest songs.
The tune is tabbed in a generic style - somewhat clawhammer and somewhat single note. You can adapt the tab to suit your style.

Notes: This a 3/4 version of the Irish traditional that has had 4/4 and 3/4 variations throughout its history. The 4/4 march version is perhaps the more common one today (e.g., The Chieftains or The Pogues), but instrumental versions are commonly in 3/4 (e.g., Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Appalachia Waltz trio).
