Notes: A great John Reischman tune. This was influenced by the playing of Old Cremona (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PjyDnSc2_c) and Lluís Gómez (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y4zRCNDVZQ). The B section timing is not true to the Mandolin version but it is playable. The Reischman version goes up an octave on the last A part which I elected not to do. I added an alternative melodic ending similar to Old Cremona's version at the end.

Notes: This is my transcription of Flatt&Scruggs recording of "Down the Road". I transcribed the intro and all six breaks plus the ending lick. Comparing the breaks with each other is interesting because of the many very small variations Earl adds each time he plays the theme.

Notes: "Doug's Tune" was written and played by Doug Dillard and the Dillards. This clawhammer version of "Doug's Tune" is based on the 2010 YouTube video by oldthyme dragon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMNYU-8aZdU ). It is really more of a ragtime tune than bluegrass. The syncopation in Part A requires either an upward brush stroke or a drop thumb to the 1st string. I chose the latter.

Notes: Tuning is actually adaad instead of adf#ad, I could not click that option. The tab is the southern soldier. A civil war song from the south. Best preformed by the Second South Carolina String Band (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUajwtw2Esc) check them out they are awesome. This tab is only the melody notes, so that i and other folks who are interested can adapt it to whatever style you like, I am trying to adapt it to scruggs style. Ive recreated this in tabledit based of the video and I also used a clawhammer tab(https://jamalongtranscriptions.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/transcription-The-Southern-Soldier-clawhammer-banjo.pdf) which I recently found, I wouldn't have got it without that tab cause im only a few months into playing. Some folks might get upset by the lyrics or the fact that it was a confederate song, but for me that doesn't take away at all from this beatiful song, and i hope y'all can enjoy it just as a piece of music :)

Notes: Tabledit version of Bennett Sullivan's banjo transcription (https://www.tunefox.com/blog/app/gentle-on-my-mind-buddy-emmons-pedal-steel-solo-for-banjo/) of Buddy Emmons' ingenious pedal steel break on John Hartford's original recording (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbZHIoaapmE from 3:30). I edited the tab a bit to make it easier for the single-string challenged like myself...
