I started to learn banjo the first time around 1970. However, since I have a lack of musicality the learning has been very slow and I have quit banjo playing several times, but also taken up playing again several times. I am probably an experienced beginner. I have had a love-hate relation to the banjo: I have loved the banjo music when I hear other, but I have hated it when I hear my self playing. I restarted banjo playing in summer 2005 and I think I, at last, have gained some skills. I am just now focused on clawhammer and two-finger picking, but earlier I have been intrested in bluegrass picking also. I am working on an environmental research institute and my speciality is waste management (!). When not working, and not playing the banjo, I like to work in the garden or build on my house. I also do a lot of walks in the forest, I have a dog that requires a lot of walks. My family is my wife Margaretha, my 20 year daughter Charlotta, the dog - an Old English Sheepdog named Daisy- and three cats.
