I just got my banjo back from having a new head installed. I bought the head from Deering. The head is a tribute to Pete Seeger. Like Seeger's banjo, it has the words around the head: "This Machine Surrounds Hate And Forces It To Surrender."
This new head may not make me play any better, but it sure does give my banjo some attitude. I love it.
If you are interested in a Pete Seeger head, check out the Deering Store:

Cheers,
Steve

I grew up in Kingsport, TN. I was born and raised with bluegrass in my blood. Speaking of blood, I am fourth cousins with the Carter Family (A.P. and Eck specifically). I grew up going to the Carter Family Fold on Saturday nights. Now I live in Richmond, VA, but I haven't forgotten my roots. After a 30 year hiatus, I am taking up the banjo again.
