I am willing to organize a Richmond area jam session in the West End. I know that there are several on the southside and in Gouchland, but currently there is nothing that I know of in the West End.
So musicians of all kinds of instruments (banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, etc.) and all skill levels are invited to participate.
I'm thinking that we will meet one evening per month for a couple of hours. We can start out at my house and then, depending upon the numbers, we'll move to another convenient location.
So who's in? Who can share this with our sister hangouts? And please let me know what night of the week works best for you. I'm thinking of a Saturday night, but willing to conform to folk's schedules.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Leave a comment here. Or send me a message through the Hangout.

Steve: A while back I was going to start up a jam here in southern Maryland. I put an add in the musical instruments section of Craig's List - got a couple responses. Its free, and might add to your group. Good luck. By the way I've read your two posts about your granddad. Caught my eye because my dad was a luthier of sorts. Mostly just did repairs, but he was well known for his ability to fit bridges on just about any stringed instrument.

Wayne,
That's a great suggestion. I'll follow through with it. Thanks for sharing about your dad.
