I've now moved onto 'Over The Waterfall'. I downloaded another tab for comparison and to be honest found Dan's much superior.
I am making a couple of changes. I am leaving out a couple of 5th string thumbs that seem a bit superfluos. In fact I think I was doing that naturally anyway. Also I am 'dumbing down' a nifty little chord change Dan has inserted near the end of the A part. It's only over the space of three quarter notes, but I am stripping it back to melody. I do think Dan's chord sounds better, but I will definitely struggle with the chord change at speed.
This tune still sounds nice played slow, but I think it should be easy enough to bring up to foot-tapping speed. A few plays this morning shows it is still 'in the fingers' from previous play.Add Comment

Teaching myself clawhammer from a mix of 'Clawhammer From Scratch' and 'Rocket Science Banjo'. Play guitar to a low intermediate level. Have played many instruments to a comfort zone level of just able to play enough to keep myself happy. Determined banjo will be learned more methodically to try and attain a higher level of playing.
