I've always loved the banjo. I tried to learn in 2009-2010 after hearing Joe Morleys Banjoland with nothing to show for it. Bascom Lamar Lunsford was another early influence. In the meantime, I tried to learn to play some old-time guitar with mixed results, but i'm not a huge fan of the guitar, so motivation was sometimes hard to come by In april 2017, I decided to give the banjo another shot and bought a cheaply made instrument at a local music store. This time I decided to take a few lessons. I haven't looked back since.
