Up early this morning. Carried on 'slowgoing' at Angeline the Baker. I'm pleased to say I seem to have cracked it(at slow speed anyway). It's definitely sweet little victories when you feel everything coming together.
Over the last couple of days my right arm is rather tired. Yesterday was just my wrist, today it's shoulder. As it's affecting my no1 hobby of petanque, and I have a match on Saturday I am laying off banjo for a couple of days.
Next Tuesday I fly to my brothers for a week, negative banjo. As he has a Telecaster type electric guitar he doesn't really use stowed away I think I will take a spare 1st/5th thickness string, restring it as a banjo then return it to guitar on completion.6 comments

From the UK and new to American Old-Time. Just listening to as much clawhammer as I can without annoying the missus.

Teaching myself clawhammer from a mix of 'Clawhammer From Scratch' and 'Rocket Science Banjo'. Play guitar to a low intermediate level. Have played many instruments to a comfort zone level of just able to play enough to keep myself happy. Determined banjo will be learned more methodically to try and attain a higher level of playing.
