Has anyone been approached or dealt with use of music by David Buckley? I have received several messages from him offering to pay for use of several of my music tracks for advertising.
I am suspicious by nature so wondered if any of you have dealt with this person and if so your experience.

A David Buckley can be found doing an internet search. He is a British composer and has done scores for several TV shows, movies and video games. He has a website. If that is your guy, he is legit.
I thought that might be him, but he doesn’t seem to want to provide a website.
The only way we could determine if this seems like a scam is if you share the exact email exchange.
I have found that often when relayed, people will leave out/add details or even get things out of order. Many people will claim "they know everything about me" when in fact the scammers used "cold reading" skills to get the victim to provide that info without knowing they did.
There are typically clues in the first email.
Most "scams" are going to be some variation on just a handful. If this were a scam would likely be some version of advanced payment/over payment scam, advanced fee scam (you pay them to get your money) or phishing.
If you want help, provide details. There are versions that target artists, often "producers" will try to get some sort of fee.
Thank you all. Too many unknowns in the exchange so even though it sounded good I will pass. If the real person is out there wanting to license my tunes, we can figure it out.
