...they say there's no cure for BAS (Banjo Acquisition Syndrome), but I might be in remission. My old maple Ome Juggernaut is satisfying all my banjo cravings and I'm really enjoying the switch to Clawhammer which I find to be more organic and more stress-free than Bluegrass. No picks, no resonator and much less obsession with tone and set-up, trying to emulate all things "prewar"....

I’ve been playing banjo (mostly solo) going on 30 years and I enjoy finger picking and occasionally clawhammer. I have formal musical background (used to play piano and harpsichord), but banjo has been my only instrument for more than 3 decades. I really love this place (the Hangout) and the friends I've met along the way. I think it's a great day when you learn something new.
