Been a while since I blogged. Not much has happened. Still playing, but haven't played as often as I used to. I got invited to go up to Tobermory and play with my wife's uncle Carl again. He is playing at a cancer charity benefit that I played in with him once before. He wants to play Toby Keith's Red Solo Cup. I have 4 days to learn it. Tried it a couple of times last night, wasn't too tough. Practiced it again today. Might be all for naught though. I may be starting a new job this weekend.

I've been addicted to music all my life. I grew up with a piano in my home, started out on the trumpet in school band in 5th grade, switched to the baritone in jr. high school and played that through high school. Got an acoustical guitar for christmas when I was 18. Bought a Les Paul - studio model guitar when I was in my 20's. Bought a piano of my own (a Petrof) when I was about 30. Learned to play harmonica (including all the reed bends and overblows) in my 30's. And just recently made a banjo purchase about three years ago (I'm about to turn 53). Got a violin and mandolin for christmas from my better half. Guess I'll try them also.
