After resting and taking it easy on my right hand for awhile, it feels much better now. I have noticed an increase in my accuracy and speed since taking it a little slower and more gentle for a short period. I'm relieved that I didn't do any permanent damage to my muscles. I have also worked on playing more quietly and then louder, going from one extreme to the other to get a little more finesse in my playing. Then I work on making one string sond off louder than the others in my rolls, which has helped in bringing out hte melody notes better. My sweet wife has been of much support throughout my learning process. She's always telling me I'm doing so well, even when I think I stink, LOL. I thank god every day for her and all the other wonderful people in my life that enhance my exsistence here, and hope I return as much or more than I get. After about 3 + months of playing, I feel I'm doind ok. Of course I want to do much better (who doesn't want to play as good as a pro right away?), but I know from experience it will take much practice and time.
