I just returned from The Minnesota Festival and met Steve and Barb Baker from Fergus Falls, MN. I had heard of them a couple years ago and sent them some Banjovies for the troops, but it was nice to meet them. I had Dean Schuessler's old Moonshine, and decided to donate that to the cause. He'd be honored to know what happened with his old axe. I think if anyone out there has decent instruments that you'd like to donate, you can send them directly to Operatuion Happy Note, http://www.operationhappynote.com. But if you have stuff that needs repair, You can send that to me at Nechville Musical Products. We will see that the instruments get properly repaired and delivered to Steve and Barb and sent along on their mission to battle the Afgan and Iraqui Blues. Someone from California donated a Paramount Lange Tenor banjo from the 20's, It's all original with case, tools, old strings, picks, pitchpipe, strap, Quite a collectors piece, I would imagine, and It is in good shape. I don't know what it's worth yet, But I will try to find out, It's very ornate, with cool tuners, Adjustable dowel stick neck. Please let me know if you or anyone you know might be interested in buying it, The proceeds from selling this banjo will be more useful than the instrument for this purpose because of its rare, valueable, but fragile nature. I also have in my posession a Little wonder Vega Tenor that is in great shape, Anyone interested?
