enjoy the age you are now, and you'll enjoy the years as they come. I can't think of any bad years 'cept probably jr high years, I've had a good time all my life

Wish I was back at school again......boy would I do things differently
mbanjo - Posted - 04/29/2013: 18:30:52
Of the choice of two evils, I pick the one I've never tried before.

I would have learned more, school was easy, I just didn't like it, I wouldn't do any work 'till the teacher said I had to make all A's to pass, then I would make all A's 'till I got my grade up, then I would quit doing the work again

If you didn't like school then, you'd hate it now. It is absolutely stupid. All it is is memorizing and reciting for the test, then it never gets brought up again. There isn't any LEARNING going on, it's all memorization...
dat - Posted - 04/30/2013: 11:05:35
memorization is a big part of learning,, I can remember things I want to, but not what others want me to
I had this memorized by the time I was 16 then went down from there
"This is the famous Budweiser beer. We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which costs so much to brew and age. Our exclusive Beechwood Aging produces a taste, a smoothness, and a drinkability you will find in no other beer at any price."

I've been saying that donations are accepted for the wedding we're paying for, but none have come in yet
Alaina - Posted - 05/01/2013: 08:44:11
My parents continue to insist that Matt and I just elope and that they will pay for a huge party instead
mbanjo - Posted - 05/01/2013: 12:42:48
When my prsent wife and I fnally got married after living in 'sin' for six years we did it all from our home. One of my best friends was a chef at military college and did all the catering. The entertainment was provided by some spanish friends who were in a a flamenco dance troupe, and The marraige celebrant was a close neighbour and very inexpensive.....the whole thing didn't cost too much at all, back in 1977..................wouldn't like to pay for a wedding nowadays.

I haven't asked what this one is costing us, and probably won't, we are having the wedding, reception then after reception party. snack foods at the reception then I'm grilling many pounds of fajita meat for the after reception party, hopefully we don't have may stay, I get cranky with feeding a large crowd on my dime

I want to get married in the church where my folks got married (in Williamsburg Kansas). It is ridiculously inexpensive, the community building is pretty and right next door, and all my family is within driving distance. But Matt says that he won't go to Kansas unless I drag him there and even then he won't be happy about it. Does anyone know how mad he'd be if I just drugged him and he woke up there? ![]()
mbanjo - Posted - 05/01/2013: 14:32:32
You could always get married by video link .....that way matt wouldn't have to go to kansas.......just a thought:-)
Alaina - Posted - 05/01/2013: 14:34:36
Hahaha no. Because I really want to be dip-kissed at the alter
mbanjo - Posted - 05/01/2013: 20:59:55
Surely you can find a substitute 'dip kisser' for a couple of hours ?
dat - Posted - 05/02/2013: 05:42:24

I will donate some of my sanity and lots of my thoughts and prayers. And if we ever run into each other, I owe you a beer
Alaina - Posted - 05/02/2013: 12:20:32
It's headed your way. Unfortunately I had to send it snail mail because overnighting it has become too expensive...
dat - Posted - 05/02/2013: 13:56:02

mbanjo - Posted - 05/02/2013: 14:09:46

Alaina - Posted - 05/02/2013: 14:29:05
It's okay to cry, don't freak out, and I hope all goes well for your family :-)
mbanjo - Posted - 05/02/2013: 15:11:03
Just think,.............. if it weren't for marriage, men would go through life thinking they had no faults at all.
Alaina - Posted - 05/02/2013: 15:37:04
Hey now, women aren't ALWAYS right! There's that random 2% of the time when we are having a bad day ![]()
dat - Posted - 05/03/2013: 06:44:51
and we better not point out one of those random times, cause we're wrong for doing it

Husband: "This coffee isn't fit for a pig!" .............Wife: "No problem, I'll get you some that is."
