It has been a while since we had a Paris cafe Sunday morning breakfast.  *the biscuits were 3- days old from the batch I posted earlier in the week. This style of biscuit reheated and preserved texture much better than a traditional biscuit!  The music playing while enjoying was "Parisian Cafe" mix on Spotify.
now back to trimming and mowing! Brad

I'm hoping to get enough off my bushes to make a pie, but they keep finding their way into my cereal, muffins, pancakes and about to make some blueberry soup.  Haven't made blueberry bread yet, but now that I mentioned it, it's probably coming early next week.

Edit to add: Also, thanks for the reminder to go out and pick some more before the deluge that's coming later today and tomorrow.

Thank you. I could not help but think what that meal would have cost eating out, let alone in Paris.  We do love our patio, before sun clears the roof next door. Brad

rinemb , I used to be a pretty good Limbo competitor, but getting under a low bar is a lot easier than getting over the high one you just set. I'm glad my wife doesn't read this forum. wink

Is blueberry soup like cold cherry soup?  I like the E Euro. Style cold cherry soup!

Sunday night, I made fig&sage cocktails: homemade garden sage infused simple syrup, muddled fresh figs, orange liquer, rum, lemon juice, and club soda.
Chicken breasts: dry marinated with seasonings then coated with seasoned mashed Ritz crackers and baked in a pool of butter-basting several times. Wife made a cucumber and garden tomatoes salad. Brad

Paul Prudhomme's seasoning is simply the best. Their salmon seasoning is amazing!

The chicken version  is almost to simple to buy.   I used it both as the dry marinade - for about 6 or so hours,  and for seasoning in the crushed cracker coating.

More chicken. Last night I made “Griiled Chicken Bruscetta.” Recipe called for boneless/skinless breasts. But, since we had chicken breasts the past two nights I used thigh meat.
The tomatoes and basil from the garden. Marilyn put her bruschetta in a skillet to cook, then added spaghetti. I put the bruschetta (room temp) directly on the grilled chicken - as per recipe. Brad

We used to sneak into a local drive in under the fence, We'd turn on all the speakers in the front row & sit on the swings up front! They were on to us so they dumped their old deep fry oil under the fence. Somebody noticed a ladder up to the roof of a nearby church . We climbed up there & watched Clockwork Orange with no sound!!
