Craig I had to look up Corn Dodger. I’m assuming yours are fried to make em crunchy.
I see there is also a dumpling version that gets boiled. Ever try em that way? Sounds interesting. What’s the difference between a Corn Dodger and a Hush puppy and a fritter??? I know I like a good hush puppy and fritter, can’t see why I wouldn’t like a Dodger !!!

No okra (blechh) in this recipe!
Looks yummy, but missing okra. We eat a lot okra. Fried, roasted, in soups, and pickled. A friend grows them. So we get a lot! Brad
Years ago me Nephew..married a Thai Girl..
Lovely person..n great Mom..

I've been on a junk/fast food kick these past few days. Taco Bell, Sheetz hot dogs, all that nutritional stuff. But calories is calories, and my appetite is still okay, and nausea is barely there. I'm glad Bob is being a good sport about all of this, and humors me.
I've found Progresso soups to be a good thing to have in the pantry, too.

I haven't had it in awhile, but Progressive has a Chicken Pot Pie Soup that I liked a lot.
Not sure if that would cause issues with your aversion to creamy foodstuffs.
Tonight was Baby Back Ribs sauced up with Kosmos OP X-1 sauce, homemade
Au gratin potatoes with 5 year aged cheddar and SlammerSlaw !!!
Talk about hitting all the culinary notes………..sweet, salty, spicy, creamy, crunchy, cheesy, tangy, meaty, smokey !!! And now I’m Fatty !!! My compliments to da pig !!!

I’d eat all the above in a heartbeat!!! Tonight was homemade pizza night. No pics but same as usual !!! Tomorrow will be the first brats of 2023 !!! Brats, beans and Mrs. Slammers homemade potato salad!!! Transitioning to summer food. Can hardly wait to see some Sweet Corn show up at the store. Usually the first we get is from Florida, and it’s pretty damn good!!!

For a Memorial Day Feast our extended families got together. The other old dude grilled steaks, I did some schwenking. (Schwenker or Schwenkbraten is a marinated pork neck steak which originates from the Saarland known there as Schwenksteak and is grilled on a Schwenker). I also made “”British style” roast potato chunks and roasted cauliflower florettes. And I forgot to take pics in all the mayhem. Here is a pic of my schwenker grill I made after returning from The Saarland a few years ago. Brad
