Yep, good composite.   In another thread mention was made of the atypical positioning of some dudes' shoulder/wrist.  I think this should be taken a step farther .... make a good sized poster of the collage of as many odd-ball features by top-notch banjo players and then encourage teachers to display it on the wall behind them, so students can get the full benefit of the teacher's demonstrations w.r.t. what to do/not do. 

P.S. What is the "real" story behind Perry's downfall?

And while I'm on a roll (?) who is the bigger homer between announcers Kevin Sawyer [Jets], or Bruins' Jack Edwards [with support from Andy Brickley]?  Based on upchuck-worthiness I give the nod to Edwards[Brickley].

I'm gonna throw a flag here. Brickley is superb - and he needs to be. Brick is able to break down a play on the fly like no other color guy in hockey.

Jack needs that, because his play-by-play these days consists of little more than announcing the last name of whoever had the puck just before whoever has it now. Listen to him now vs. his calls of even five years ago... He's just not on his game, and has been slipping for years. There's been all kinds of speculation about his health.

He's really good when he's doing guest slots on WEEI. His knowledge of the game - and the team - remains solid, and he can offer thoughtful insight when being interviewed. But his game calling just ain't what it was.

Even so, there's something about Jack's foghorn voice and his cheesy one-liners that Bruins fans find weirdly endearing. I don't think anyone in Beantown has any illusions about him - the guys calling Bruins games for 98.5 The Sports Hub do a far better job with play-by-play, and in the pantheon of Boston sports announcers I doubt anyone would out-poll the team of Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy, who could keep you watching a Red Sox game even when the team was down 10-2 in the ninth simply because THEY were having so much fun, and it was infectious.

I do like the way Jack enunciates the words,, every good play-by-play guy, no matter what sport, has some unique and sometimes funky way of speaking.

I expect you're right, Skip.  But, but, but you left out the upchuck-worthiness of  the over-the-top homer-ness. [Is homer-ness a word??  I guess it is now.   ]

Here in beautiful west-central Man-ee-toe-bah we get hit-and-miss coverage* from all over the continent rather than a consistent regional (?) diet [Jets being an exception], so maybe my sample size is suspect.

There's no doubt that Jack is a Bruins fanboy. I've heard that he's paid by the team... and even if it's not true, most of their games are carried by NESN, which has a rather incestuous relationship with all of the major teams in Boston with the exception of the Patriots (which doesn't need a podunk regional broadcaster. They get carried by the big dogs).

Which is another thing in Brick's favor. He's not afraid to chide if a Bruins player does something untoward. Maybe not to the same level as the announcers covering the other team, but - for example - he was pretty fair (and uncomplimentary)  in describing the hit that earned Charlie McAvoy a four-game suspension a month or so back.
