Did the Massachusetts Plains Cree lady also endorse equality?  [IF she did, I missed it.   ]

Like most disputes the complainers overstate their case so they can settle for less and still come out ahead. Sorta like union strikes & negotiations, players agents bargaining for more remuneration, banjo players asking band leaders for $2 more per show, etc.

All ^^ well and good ... but did you hear the MPC lady endorse/promote equality?

I’ve never heard the MPC lady from the Piapot Reserve promote equality, however, I haven’t listened to all or very many of her harangues.
Not sure who Justin(e) is, but the rabble-rousers gushed forth with the Bronx cheer right after the word “free”. Methinks they might’ve been holdovers from cheering on a certain truck convoy bound for JT’s residence.

Yep ... ^^ a pretty good/funny show, IMNSHumbleO. 

I didn't know there were cheap seats in the CLC, so I "looked it up" ... apparently average is $140, with a low of $29, so in this day and age I guess that's cheap/cheep/??? 

Sound like some of the "experts" are jumping onto the Jets' bandwagon. "Go, Habs, Go!!"

I hear you! As a college student in Boston in the 1970s, catching a Red Sox game was an affordable thing to do. $2 for a seat in the bleachers, beers were maybe a buck. And it was Fenway Freaking Park.

We took over half the school to see the Jays at the Ex, a.k.a. the "mistake by the lake". They were losing and it was time to get back to school, but I saw the other classes leaving and decided mine would stay (we were travelling by TTC, so the lineup would be forever). The Jays pulled it out in the bottom of the ninth. I had a class full of happy campers.

Just watched Canada win it's opening game of the Spengler Cup.  Though the amount of advertising on the ice and uniforms seems a bit more than necessary, it was more than offset by the announcers [didn't catch who the crew was ] simply announce the game and not impress (?) us with pretty  much continuous commentary on "first round draft pick" and "high draft pick" and other trite B.S. used to demonstrate their analytical brilliance [cough, hack, coough].  Who knew?? .... apparently there are lesser lights (?) that can also be entertaining .... players and broadcasters.

Thanks.  Is that ^^ current? I tried to "look it up," but didn't see stuff for this year.   And I even tried to pay closer attention during the third period and post game, but somehow it still escaped me.   .... maybe next game..... ??

Which said: Uncle Nick is a class act, and this seems very much in character for him considering what we saw in Boston. Hard enough to lose Bergie and Krecji, but in term of team dynamics the fact that Sweeney couldn't afford to keep Foligno is probably nearly as big of a loss.

Think it was really smart of Chicago to bring him in for this very purpose. He's nearing the end of his career, and joining a true Stanley Cup contender wasn't in the cards for him. But he's doing a job that's arguably more important, and likely to have a very favorable impact on the career of a brilliant young talent and the game in general. I predict that 20 years from now, when Bedard is wrapping up his career, he'll mention Uncle Nick's name - and a whole bunch of aspiring players who never heard of him will become aware of his contributions.

Less glorious for sure, but that may be a more important legacy than having his name stamped on the mug.

Skip, my commentary was/is intended to be more general than specific .... i.e. the situation more than the particular participants ... kinda making note of [one of] the many possible "interesting" (?) twists and turns life holds.    [I could interject here that I'll be more careful in the future.... but I probably won't be.  ]
