Hi BHO friends.
Just to keep us all on the same page, last week, I managed to run around the indoor track of the place where I do my physiotherapy stuff, 143 times. Hold on now, It's not as impressive as it sounds, but, for me it's just the thing I'm aiming for.
The distance one needs to run upon that indoor track, in-order to do a mile, is 23 times around.
So lets do some math, 143 times around the track, divided by 23, equals 6.2173913 miles, or as we say in Canadian style talk, 10.005921 kilometers.
Now all I have to do, is make it happen regularly, with a better running form, and time, (lifting and placing the feet perfectly) so that I'll have a fighting chance of making it to the finish line of the 10 K race coming this May 16 th.
I tend to do this running stuff in the traditional, "Bare Foot" style, so not dragging my toes, or making blisters because of sliding the foot/s along the ground, is important to keep in mind.
I'm taking some videos of the physio-ing I've been doing, hoping to soon do some kind of inspirational film montage for our collective enjoyment . . . . Yes, there will be banjo music, so I'm warning you to paddle faster, now!
Have some great holidays folks.
Dave

I'm From Canada, I've have been playing with a band we call "the Magnificent Sevens" since we started it in 2006. Our music is strongly influenced by the traditions of early bluegrass & country bands such as Flat & Scruggs, Bill Monroe, all the Hanks, the Stanley brothers, and other weirder bands, not normally associated with banjo stuff. Cats are of interest to me, recording music is even more interesting, but not as fuzzy. Touring has become a bigger part of my life since playing with the Magnificent Sevens, it has taken me, and the band, all across Canada and into America for the last three years or so. I've found that people in America are wonderful. I hope someday, politics and war will go away, and just let the people of the world get to know each other. Banjo picking has given me an all access pass to places I never thought I would get to go. I hope to keep going to new places, to pick with new people, for many years to come. . . . . . Not much of a bio; but if you want to know more, maybe we could get together around the kitchen table some time, and share some tunes. Dave
