I have not played the banjo for far too long, longer than can legally be mentioned here.
Things have changed since the wild days of trying to take over the world with a bluegrass infested rock'n homage to the greats type band.
A truck Vs me on a bike moment kind of changed a few of my operating system parameters, the brain injury has lead to a new way of life since 2015.
People have come and gone, they were born and died, I moved to the rural lands of South Western Manitoba, I am grateful to be able to look out my window and see the sky, and be in these times where one can watch live music from stages all over the place like "Dee's" in Nashville for example, and or sit here to watch Ear himself Play the very songs I tried to play a zillion years ago from the vinyl records. If I could have only seen just where the finger were supposed to go . . . .
Any way,
Laters.

I'm From Canada, I've have been playing with a band we call "the Magnificent Sevens" since we started it in 2006. Our music is strongly influenced by the traditions of early bluegrass & country bands such as Flat & Scruggs, Bill Monroe, all the Hanks, the Stanley brothers, and other weirder bands, not normally associated with banjo stuff. Cats are of interest to me, recording music is even more interesting, but not as fuzzy. Touring has become a bigger part of my life since playing with the Magnificent Sevens, it has taken me, and the band, all across Canada and into America for the last three years or so. I've found that people in America are wonderful. I hope someday, politics and war will go away, and just let the people of the world get to know each other. Banjo picking has given me an all access pass to places I never thought I would get to go. I hope to keep going to new places, to pick with new people, for many years to come. . . . . . Not much of a bio; but if you want to know more, maybe we could get together around the kitchen table some time, and share some tunes. Dave
