Played in local bands in DC/Maryland from 1973 to about 1982, and since mid-1990's I have been a fill-in/replacement player for several local Maryland bands, pick with Patent Pending and my group "Appalachian Flyer" along with bassist Tom Gray, was a very occasional member of the Dixie Beeliners and perform with Louisa Branscomb/Johnny Williams/Jeanette Williams as well. I'm currently a member of Valerie Smith's touring band. I was an 8 year IBMA FanFest/Showcase stage manager, and sometime all-purpose backstage assistant at the IBMA Awards. I have been honored to play onstage with Eddie and Martha Adcock, Missy Raines, Roland White, Larry Stephenson, Aaron Till, Pam Gadd, and many years ago with Buck White and the Down Home Folks (with Jerry Douglas, too)!. (I guess I'm somewhere between purty good and expert/professional - so I rounded up!).
