Playing Since: 2004
Experience Level: Intermediate

Interests:
[Teaching] [Jamming] [Socializing] [Helping]

Occupation: a c tech

Gender: Male
Age: 57

My Instruments:
ever to persevere in the search for the right sound out of the banjo. my fender banjo has a sharper crisper tone than the old lyle given to me 20 years ago which has a deeper tone and is easy on the finger tips but still on the low end of the totem pole as far as banjos are concerned. in the future i can see in my hand the holy grail of banjos .

Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Flatt & Scruggs , Steve Martin , Gary Bisquit Davis, and MEAN MARY

Update from 10 yrs. accomplishing more and more on banjo. I have 3 grandkids now 1 boy 2 girls. With this corona stuff going on it has been a while since they have come to visit.Other than pickin on the banjo , fishing would be one of my other all time favorites . lawn mower racing is another one of my hobbies its cooling off now i can get those chores done that ive been putting off till it cools down. adding a beat laboratory next to the house is on that list its needed (finished beat laboratory).practicing some of the same stuff over and over and over and over and over tends to make folks wonder if there is another area of town i can practice in. my banjo skills are limited only to my time and effort which i have put neither in for a while . im ready to play something all the way through . i want to pick up the banjo and play and play and play i want folks to listen and be excited when i play i want to be wanted in this town i want to be ask to play everywhere i want to be lightening fast sure sounds like a lot which it is. the point at which im at now to anyone who doesnt play thinks im awesome but i know its not the case. i guess what im saying is i need help i think i have gotten as far as i can on my own. a good teacher with patients is needed. i get so frustrated with the thing i put it down in the corner and only look at it for a week or 2. i do work on songs but never follow through just learn a little and move on to something else . i know i can do it because i learned the first hal of a song the slow parts and never finish the faster stuff. anyways i will be posting some videos soon and need advice . any thoughts or opinions on my playing is encouraged and very much welcomed
