I started playing young. Heard John McKuen on the first Dirt Band record and was really excited to learn the five string banjo. Over the years, I've focused on all of the great players at one time or another ... and learned a lot from each of them, but finally had to focus on music fundamentals, so that I would start to develop a good general musicianship, and have a sound and style of my own. I've played played professionally since I was 15 .... and have been blessed to be able to play with and learn from some excellent players in many musical styles.
