After learning nothing about playing the banjer as a kid (other than how to strum 3 chords) I traded my banjer for some electronic equipment in 1977. In 2007 my lovely wife bought me a Johnson JB-080 for Christmas and thanks to online lessons, DVDs and websites like this, I have learned to play reasonably poorly (but keep at it). I now own 4 banjers and can play reasonably poor on all of them.
