This is my first time back on this site in ages. In 2008 I left my job at a history museum in Indiana and moved to Iowa to go to seminary. My playing fell off in those years with an occasional opportunity here and there to play with some other folks, but mostly I just had a lot of reading and writing to do. In late 2012, I moved to Tulsa to the church where I currently serve as pastor, and that usually keeps me pretty busy. But yesterday, while my wife and kids were away in Oklahoma City, I picked up my ol' banjer and banged out a few tunes. Got me fired up again. Then this morning, I ran across an email from the BHO group and thought I'd sign in. Looks like things are humming along like they always do. If there are any Tulsa area folk who'd like to jam with a rusty frailer like me, gimme a holler. Also, how the heck do I update my profile? Guess I'll figure that one out later. Good to be back.

I also have a 19th century no-name. Looks to be an amalgamation of a mid-century neck on a late-century pot, but I don't know much about those things. It sounds like crap, but is purty.

Too poor for a teacher. Had a good'n for about a dozen lessons, but now I'm on my own. Been taking up the slack by jamming (with slackers - am I really coming out ahead here?). :)
