Transatlantic Sessions

Saturday, June 23, 2012

I've just been viewing the Transatlantic Sessions DVD. Probably the most inspiring musical performance I've ever watched - live or recorded! Waiting for a back-order of all the previous ones...

Latest (TS6) is now available on CD/DVD.

As I move into my ‘60s I find I’m getting more serious about music in general, having kept my day-job for most of my life. I still play in a local Cape Town amateur band called Blacksmith, as I have done since I was a student and I managed to get the nod to join the David Kramer band at the South African “Ubuntu” festival at Carnegie Hall in 2014, but there's not much bluegrass in SA, so the BHO helps keeps me in touch with what’s happening out in the wider world. It’s quite a lekker (Afrikaans: =“nice”) home-from-home and continues to flourish – thanks Eric!
